As a Canadian I am appalled at the service AC provides. Stewartesses were snarly, fat, old, and probably over-paid. I flew Japan and Korean airlines. Not only were the women GORGEOUS, but they were friendly, kind, and helpful. WOW! Next time I'll pay the extra 69$ and fly JAL or Korean Airlines
@good2goskee They're stewartessess were fat and snarly because they are underpaid, and they're old because there's no other job for them to take. Working at an airline really limits your job mobility. The Asian women's cultures are different, they're kind of forced to be nice or they're fired.

However, I used to be a loans officer for TD & I did a loan 6 or 7 yrs ago for a senior flight attendant who made 63k per yr. I did a loan for another one who had 24 hours per week @ she made around 30k-ish per year.30k for PT is VERY good & 63k is what seasoned ticketed tradesmen, nurses, and medium experienced teachers make. Service industry can be hard but no way that seems a bit much

I have flown Iberia airlines (Spain's state airline) most of my life ( to Spain to visit family & friends), plus British Airways four times and yes Air Canada to Ganders, Newfoundland and never had a complaint; I flew American Airlines once (and NOT BY CHOICE) and IT SUCKED--bad attitudes, bullshit regulations, the works!! Oh, btw Im also American, too.

I've flown with several airlines.. Air Canada is definitely the worst in Canada (WestJet is wayyy better), and outside of Canada, there are many that are way better than Air Canada (even small Eastern European airlines with really small planes have more leg room, better food and more professionalism/customer service) It is really a shame that Air Canada is gov't funded... what a waste of tax payer money... being a Canadian, I say let the bad airlines fail and let the ones that are good succeed.
