Idol has been marketed as a show that produces stars, but the only successful ones are Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry, JHudson,DCook,Archie, and Adam Lambert. a few of these didnt even win their season. Fantasia won but the label dropped her. What happened to the star making machine we were promised. I'm proud to be a GLambert, and I know Adam will be a worldwide star...probably the only one to come out of that machine.

I don't care what Simon says Fantasia rocked that performance it was one of the most entertaining in the history of Idol. The only reason he didn't like it was because it wasn't expected and he wanted predictable fantasia. She tried something different, so what the audience seemed to be loving it. As sucessful as he is Simon has been proven to be wrong in the past about artist e.g. Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and I think Fantasia can now be added to that list.
Sometime the producers dub the cheering or use clips of the audience from previous performances. It happens on America's Got Talent, so it could possible happen on American Idol. I didn't see the performance myself, and if you liked it, good for you. Just don't rely on the audience for an opinion.
The audience usually applaud for anything though. You never exactly hear booing on the show. The applaud whether something is good or not. And being different doesn't necessarily mean good.
but the enjoyment that the audience were showing of the performance was fairly obvious... they were dancing and everything. Yes being different does not mean good but being the same and predictable isn't any better. At least she took a risk and tried not to be predictable unlike most artists these days with their often lack-luster performances.
From what I saw and what I made out of the performance they were actually enjoying it. Fantasia's performance was amazing her voice was good her entertainment quality was good, better than some of the "average" performances that come from mainstream artists today.
From what I saw the audience reacted the same way to everything Sanjaya did on the show, and they reacted the same to every messed up lyric forgotten performance too. They're in the studio of the world's #1 show they're bound to be like that, it doesn't necessarily prove anything. If it was really that good I'm sure the judges wouldn't mind standing up for Fantasia, Paula got up HALFWAY and sat back down, the final applaud wasn't even that good.
Well, I still would like to find a valid point as to why the performance was bad, her voice was amazing, her performance quality was amazing and people seemed to recieve it well. I have a feeling that sometimes people just agree with anything that comes out of Simons mouth. Plus youtube reception of the performance has been good as well.
Rating something as "good" or "bad" doesn't need a valid point, its opinionated. While you may say that her performance quality was amazing, I can say that it wasn't, because this is not something I expect her to be doing. Regarding her voice on a technical level she slipped off some of the bars every now and then and hit her scream in the flat register. But each to their own. You wont get a valid reason. You're just trying to say it was good, while many people don't think so. Go figure =/

I don't care what Simon says Fantasia rocked that performance it was one of the most entertaining in the history of Idol. The only reason he didn't like it was because it wasn't expected and he wanted predictable fantasia. She tried something different, so what the audience seemed to be loving it. As sucessful as he is Simon has been proven to be wrong in the past about artist e.g. Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and I think Fantasia can now be added to that list.

Sometime the producers dub the cheering or use clips of the audience from previous performances. It happens on America's Got Talent, so it could possible happen on American Idol. I didn't see the performance myself, and if you liked it, good for you. Just don't rely on the audience for an opinion.

The audience usually applaud for anything though. You never exactly hear booing on the show. The applaud whether something is good or not. And being different doesn't necessarily mean good.

but the enjoyment that the audience were showing of the performance was fairly obvious... they were dancing and everything. Yes being different does not mean good but being the same and predictable isn't any better. At least she took a risk and tried not to be predictable unlike most artists these days with their often lack-luster performances.

From what I saw and what I made out of the performance they were actually enjoying it. Fantasia's performance was amazing her voice was good her entertainment quality was good, better than some of the "average" performances that come from mainstream artists today.

From what I saw the audience reacted the same way to everything Sanjaya did on the show, and they reacted the same to every messed up lyric forgotten performance too. They're in the studio of the world's #1 show they're bound to be like that, it doesn't necessarily prove anything. If it was really that good I'm sure the judges wouldn't mind standing up for Fantasia, Paula got up HALFWAY and sat back down, the final applaud wasn't even that good.

Well, I still would like to find a valid point as to why the performance was bad, her voice was amazing, her performance quality was amazing and people seemed to recieve it well. I have a feeling that sometimes people just agree with anything that comes out of Simons mouth. Plus youtube reception of the performance has been good as well.

Rating something as "good" or "bad" doesn't need a valid point, its opinionated. While you may say that her performance quality was amazing, I can say that it wasn't, because this is not something I expect her to be doing. Regarding her voice on a technical level she slipped off some of the bars every now and then and hit her scream in the flat register. But each to their own. You wont get a valid reason. You're just trying to say it was good, while many people don't think so. Go figure =/
