  • although hinduism is not seeking conversion. it seems to me eventually every one become a hindu and doing yoga and meditation when stress reach up in the fore head

  • Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with this pose. I seem to bend my lower back a bit too much... and my arms aren't as perpendicular to the floor as yours are. Do you have any tips for me to strengthen up so I can do this pose properly?

  • Amazing! How do you stay in shape for this pose?

  • beautiful!

  • Thanks for the tips ;)

  • Amazing work. Thank you for the video.

  • i can't bring my feet up like at 0:32 please help someone!

  • @Dewbertthe3rd just walk your toes in as close as you can, then push off the ground into a "tuck" position. At that point you can move into straightening your legs upwards

  • @forbiddenfollies thanks i shall try that now!

  • You are a cutie. Please do some more yoga videos. I would love to hear your accent again.

  • Awesome! For me, it's easier to do the handstand version because my shoulders are stronger, but less mobile. The only risk that I saw was that your knees are coming apart (totally understandable - hard for me, too), but as you come into the back bend it could place too much pressure/bend on the lower vertebrae. Maybe only 1 time in 500, but that 1 could do some damage. Still, freakin' awesome! (And better than I can do it!)

  • Beautiful

  • wow amazing!

  • This might seem like a safe practice, however it may be best for you, your neck, your back, etc, to learn the forearm balance first before going onto this more challenging scorpion asana.

  • Thnx

  • did you try and learn the forearm stand first with feet straight in the air? or did you go straight to this pose?

  • Gosh this is so much harder than it looks! How do you train yourself to do it?

  • you are lovely ^.^

  • That's really beautiful and peaceful! /Joel Lessing

  • Beautiful! engage your feet though! press through your big toe mounds and this will help you find your balance easier :) great work!

  • @Shante852008 , pretty close, asian kiwi actually :-)

  • I always do the headstand, but have never tried this Scorpion position before.

    gotta try it! :)

  • cool, but did you know that you shouldn't use the wall as a prop because your body will always depend on it, and the whole point of yoga is to find your balance and mantain it yourself.. I should know cause my dad is a yogi who created Sampoorna Yoga .... very cool though :) his website is yogihari.com

  • Would you marry an English man ?!

  • I never knew I could do this!!!!

    Thank u so much.

Lol my back kinda hurts now but it'll go away.

  • @leleaimiller1 , hey, glad it helps. A forward bend would help with your back.:-)

  • @leleaimiller1 UR FUNNY

  • au thats not so easy how it looks...

  • Pretty cool. Keep it up,

  • Hi, I do this balance a lot, when warming up for my dance such as ballet, modern, comtemporary etc.. and I find that this stretch requires a lot of back flexibility, and believe it or not, but if you're in the scorpian position and you find you've been to far, then you feel your jaw stretching, and this can be very painful, so always make sure you have a very flexible back before performing this pose.

  • So about how long would you say I'd have to be doing yoga in order to obtain this position??? Because I do believe it is my favorite : )

  • @cheerleader4498 , cool :-) I think it depends on individuals, some people could do it after 1 year of constant practice, while the others could take a bit longer. But if you already have some gymnastics background, then it would be much easier for you.

  • @EshanaKerala I actually DO have some gymnastics training... from a VERY long time ago XD

  • @cheerleader4498 , that's great! then it will probably be easy for you, I know few people that had gymnastics training when they were kids, once they picked up yoga, everything was much easier. :-)

  • what's the song title?

  • @adhikarexuss , Hey, there, the song is called 'mars and stars'. :-)

  • I'll try right now!!!

  • Hi I liked this demonstration Christine. It'll help me with my own self practice I'm sure. The answer you gave to Yumi makes alot of sense to. ie: when doing a head stand am I supportiong the world or is the world supporting me? ;-) You seem to have a very nice warm energy about you. Thanks for sharing this on Youtube :-)

  • thankyou!<3

  • Whoa dawg, thats amazing

  • @Scroomsaw Hey, thanks :-)

  • I tried to do a hand/arm-stand but It seems like my arms are too weak. What do you do to build up the strength on your arms to be able to do this pose? Thanks

  • @yumi7772 , Hi Yumi, thanks for the message. You could start practicing hand/arm-stand against a wall, rest your feet on the wall until the strength is slowly built up. If you practice regularly, you will be able to feel that your arms are getting stronger everyday. A yoga teacher once told me that the scorpion is more a matter of concentration than of strength, and if we overcome the fears of falling, then we will be able to balance better. Hope this answered your question :-)

  • looks nice!

  • @gardenmannn , thanks :-)

  • Hmm..that doesn't look like a वृश्चिकं ...........or maybe its the angle that I am looking from

  • @ast3rix84 :-)
