@marcelhost I'm not comparing them against each other, I was merely commenting on the fact that usually, when this piece is performed, the violinist far outstrips the violist; whereas here Rysanov gives the violinist a run for her money! Of course they're both fantastic players, and the music is the principal object here. Saying my comment is moronic is like calling the statement that Primrose was a better violist than Hindemith moronic; of course it doesn't matter, but it's true never the less
@marcelhost also, assuming that someone "doesn't get it" or somehow has a lesser understanding of the music because of a joking remark about violists (which I happen to be) seems to me rather presumptuous of that persons character and musical understanding, and says more about your hastiness to dole out character judgments and intelligence. 'Twas all in jest! Take it easy! xD
@marcelhost which words exactly were empty? I know I meant every single one of them. And if you would be kind to a poor soul who "just doesn't get it," what don't I get? I know I love this piece, and have played and listened to enough Mozart to have an intimate connection to his music. Nowhere in any of my statements did I imply that I had trouble enjoying the music. Also, replying to the statement "it was in jest, take it easy" with the statement "take it easy" makes little to no sense.
I think this Is one of those rare cases where the violist is better than the violinist! RYSANOV IS AMAZING!!!
