I wasn't dissing you, my wife has the same bike, and I told her I would divorce her if she ever got a windshield and bags for it...LOL
It's all about what you want. Nice bike. Could you imagine what it would look like with hard bags that match the bikes Tribal paint scheme? And tell your wife to get her own bike! It would be a lot more fun for the both of you! lol
@kctay1957 I ride it MOST of the time with no bags, no shield, no backrest, but use floorboards cause not easy to change quick. The wife had alot to do with me getting bags shield & backrest seat. We do alot of riding together & tried without backrest. No Go for her, heh. And since we need to bring stuff with us we use the bags, but remove bags & shield once at destination.
If i didn't get them then I REALLY wouldn't need them cause she'd divorce me. Then could stay in NESS fashion. Lol. j/k
Then theres the aftermarket. Nothing that is made for Harleys fits a Victory. All of those 800-page catalogs from Drag Specialties, Bikers Choice, CCI, and others feature gazillions of parts and accessories, none of which fits Victories. Or any foreign bike. In this sense you could argue that in the Harley world a Victory is as foreign as a Kawasaki.
nice bike man!! The only thing I would recommend is the side mount liscence plate. Would totally set the bike off!! I am going through some major changes with my '03 v92c this year.
Winter right now. Waiting for summer. I will be posting a short video on how I got the seat to be switchable in about 15 seconds. Kind of nice to go from straight bike to windshield, passenger type seat and saddle bags in about 60 seconds.
I should say looks good with when the other seat with the backrest is on. Saddle bags look a little goofy without backrest type seat. Will be uploading seat video and how I made it a 15 second change out between seats.
When I got this bike 2 things prompted me to want them on here too. One is I got so used to the Kingpin floorboards, something with the stability I felt having them (hard to explain) and second reason is my boots got screwed up from having to pull up with the toe on the shifter. It left a permanent black mark on my white snakeskin boots. I use my heel to shift with floorboards so all is good. I tried leaving the pegs on for first month, just couldn't get away from the way the floorboards felt.
I just got the passenger seat to put on when needed. I will either upload this video with it in it, or perhaps make a new one showing how I made it a 15 second change out with only 1 screw/tool seat. It was the seat in the victory accessories catalog for $599.
WOW. You all should see this Victory Engine comparison set of videos... There are 5 parts so WATCH THEM ALL starting with this one.
Search for.... Victory Segment 1
(BEWARE, it seems like a Harley bashing video, but MUST watch them all to understand the difference. AND NO.. I'm not a Harley hater.... heh)
