The Cleveland Plain Dealer speculates that the Indians may consider keeping Victor Martinez at catcher and trading Kelly Shoppach.
Shoppach's value has never been higher and the newspaper suggests that the Indians might look to shop him for a young pitcher like Justin Masterson of the Red Sox. Shoppach was originally drafted by the Red Sox before being traded to the Indians in the Coco Crisp deal and Boston will be looking for a new catcher if Jason Varitek doesn't re-sign.
