@john058 IT IS NOT! Regnum Online is the best free to play RvR game, but of course you don't know what that is, else you wouldn't put a comment like that, RvR means 'Realm vs Realm. Which means that there are some realms you have to choose in the beginning, and when you're ready, join massive online wars. It's only too bad that RvR's are so unpopular at the moment.. :(

So, after avoiding this game (client never launched right), I have been around the block. DN, crap monster recycle nest. Vindictus crap cash company. PWE all games crap. Everything has fould community, or horrible game play. Then I found REGNUM! :) AFter 3 major updates (including better client), I am enjoying an awesome game. Great community, great PVE, great PVP. it does feel a little outdated in graphics, but it supports mac (my friends can play) and it feels classically awesome! Non cash hoe

@Nanbopally Yeah I have to agree with you, I was really into Runes of Magic and at endgame if you don't use the cash shop you won't even get into a group, plus it costs like $3 per upgrade of your equipment and each item gets 3... do the math lol! Then when new content is released you have to upgrade your new gear, I mean ffs.

I read on the game site (or somewhere) that Regnum Online is what it was originally called but after content/graphics updates it is now called Relams Online. So my question is

(1) How much better is the graphics now that this game has gone through a gfx update

(2) How populated is the game? I went onto their forums and it doesn't look like there's much forum activity (basing game population or forum numbers here)

@brett123ist (continued) it won't be too populated, maybe 20 or some people in the inner realm. More people are expected to join with the new update.

3) The spells are never overly complex, but yes you do have lightning, fire, and all those sort of spell effects. But yes, generally the higher the level the fancier the animation.

I do recommend trying this, if you join Sytris (the awesome realm) add me as Forfeit and I can help you out.

@brett123ist hey, iv been playing for 6 months now so I can help you out.

1) Regnum has will will probably always have similar graphics, but they aren't bad. It is 3D and fair good designs of characters and landscape, although they've recently updated the castles and forts and they do look amazing, like something you'd expect from WOW.

2) In each server there are probably 100-200 people online split over 3 realms, but most are in the warzone, so until you get to level 30 or 40 (continued)

This game has lost its touch, iv played it for 2 and a half years, and those 1st 2 years were Awesum, but now they increased the lvl cap, the only way to get to the max lvl is buying premium xp scrolls which is really annoying, but fine for rich kids >.>

The PvP was fast, intensive and fun. I have played a lot of other mmorpg games, and even the best F2P games werent able to chalange Regnum in terms of PvP and skill customization, ofcourse they were unbalanced problems like in any other game, but still it was great. War all day !!! I didnt played for loong time about two years, but if you dont know what to try, I would still recomend it, this game is worth of trying. Get to warzone, try som fort fight and u will see. Damm I miss the old days....

Regnum was my first mmorpg, my first clan and all... I still remember the feeling when I first time came out to warzone :p I was so scared watching every movement, every voice LOL, I felt like I have now entered the Jurrasic park or something :D There was a soul in that game, all the friends, community, enemies lot of skiled and great players :) Sadly the game got ruined a lot and its not so fun and stunning as it was before.. expecialy the big combat update made many base players leave :/

This game has been republished for US under the name Realms Online, my understanding is that they have blocked US from playing Regnum and you are forced to play Realms, if I am wrong forgive me. ;)

Actually Omer, as I watch the video I heard that you only have three classes, and I would like to tell you that actually the 3 clases you choose are base clases, in level 10 you get to choose 2 sub-clases for each base class you chose, like Warriors can be Knights or Barbarians. I am an Argentinian player and been playing a lot this game so I wanted to tell you this so people could know better.

Review is kind of outdated now as all the player character models have been updated and improved. The Fatigue system has been removed (it only lasted a few weeks due to an overwhelming negative response from the community).

The world also 'feels' bigger than it looks in my opinion. This MMO has kept me interested for longer than any other F2P that has ever been on the market.

i luv this game more than any other FREE mmorpg because of the fact they allow you to play several races (even tho they are close to the same, Dwarves are my favorite) i luv the fact you can play like a certain type for each class, so there is basically 6 classess! The gameplay is cool even though u cant jump lol, i luv how the music turns epic when ur in battle then gets nice when u arnt :) its quite fun if you can stand the grind lol
