  • Thanks for sharing.

I like the idea of swapping the batteries to keep the circuit going.

To make it automated I am going to try a zero volt diode to sense the battery is full and maybe a 74V2T66STR to do the battery swapping.

It will eventually stop due to heat losses though should run longer than if it just used the one battery.

  • Hi, sorry, the L1 inductor is 18uH? Thanks for sharing this!

  • can you please make a taser with a spark gap , out of a joule theif.. it would be cool!.

  • You always combine different approaches, that is very creative! Keep it up ;) Always exciting to watch your vids.

  • Very good Lidmotor ! As usual ... The first circuit, are they both Supercaps (source and charge)?

  • mmsglobe----The first cap (source) is a Supercap-- 2.3volt 10 farad that I got from Mouserdotcom about $5. The second cap is just a radioshack 50volt 2200 uf about $1.50. Mouser sells a 2.3volt 50 farad supercap for abot $8. I have a coulple of those that work great for this kind of low power project.

  • Very Nice.

It looks like the charge side charges very fast.

  • GBluer----- Yes it seems to work well. I put a 25 ohm rheostat at the source to control the voltage and slow the amp draw down. It was drawing 50 Ma.

  • Great job! I am really loving your "transformer" coil on my Bedini. Thank you for that. It works very well. Keep up your great work here.

    Bill

  • Thanks Bill, Glad that it is working.
