Her tone when speaking reminds me so much of Audrey Hepburn, and her singing voice gives me the chills. She really is uniquely beautiful and talented. I came to know of who she was because "On My Own" is my favorite broadway song.. I had never heard her sing it (had heard others).. and looking into these videos of her - I wish she had been more in the public eye. She is a gem.

@angelmona15 I don't think they were nervous. They just didn't know what 2 expect from Lea. Even Boublil seemed bored but after Lea's 2 minimal miscues, he became animated. "Fantastic" from Nick & "beautiful" from Boublil speaks 4 itself. Producer Cameron's sigh IMO meant he finally found Kim. Schonberg is Lea's biggest fan. In many of his interviews, he can't say enough about how talented she is. He added that he doesn't think even Lea is aware of her potential. High praise indeed. Peace.

She & Monique were already short listed for the role, just a matter of making a final decision as to who will be the main Kim...reason why they are asked them to sing the actual songs from the musical.

I can't even understand your statement. A Filipino born in the Philippines will have a Filipino Accent. A Filipino born in England will have an English accent. A Filipino born in America will have an American accent. A Filipino who learned English in England will have an English accent. A Filipino who learned English in America will have and American accent.

I am a Filipino and was born and raised in the Philippines but for some reason if you happen to live in the Philippines you'll say that it's palpable that the Philippines has no definite distinguishing accent. The economic society in the Philippines is segregated by language: Spanish for the elite few, English for the upper class, Filipino (and other dialects) for the lower and combination for the middle. cont.
