just a comment about the whole hyperflextion thing, if you rode dressage wich you may or may not, theres kinda steps and it all starts out with your horse being lose and reaching for the bit and the more they push off their back end, they round there back and come over the topline and therefor there head comes there. that horse has so much collection to be able to do those movements, you dont see his ears pinned or anything. so apparently its not hurting the horse.

yup agree as well, but i also dont really see anky applying hyperflexion here, her horse is flexed, collected, and rounded, no doubt in that! and hyperflexion really helps with getting a horse to be able to stretch out and do this, its part of the training, just like bending in tight circles and doing serpentines, its all part of the hours and hours of training

uhm, anyone whos studied horses can tell you how they relate, and theynamedhimthowra96 is absolutely right. i'm not saying we are built the same, but there are ways to compare body parts to get what a horse feels conveyed

But you cant relate the two - horses have a completly different build from humans, and we don't feel what they would feel. I understand that you are against hyperflexation, but im not. I respect others opinions on this subject, because its a touchy one. Thanks for being respectful while stating your opinion :)

i understand how your viewing it, and no as far as the senses go, we dont feel the same, but constant hyperflexation can get painful, it can weaken the topline of the horse, just like anything else with horses, theres a very delicate balance, flexion, awesme!, hyperflexion can get to be a bit too much, especially when applying it in a competition, and thanks for being a mature person =) dont see that often on here

I think that done correctly, hyperflexation is beneficial to the horse. But too much of anything can be bad, and that includes hyperflexation. And your welcome, I dont think that being rude will get anyone any where in life :)

I too agree that her previous freestyle/kur was better, however this is exhilarating also. Is it just me, or does Solinero look brown in his more recent videos? He was black at the '04 Olympics!

Actually hijlaa, he wasn't. I mean he was shaved but he's actually always been dark bay, but really close to black. The first time I saw him, I thought he was black too.

yeah, you're right. As others have said before, Salinero looks like he was black, but after shaving you'll see he's brown.

I agree her previous kür was far better, this is nowhere near as catchy and in my opinion it doesn't fit to the dressage as well as the previous one. i prefer Carl Hesters kür at olympia.
