  • Incredible fail!

  • He was just reminding the crowd what race series they were watching.

  • Now that's advertisement!

  • magic bill board? lol

  • that's one way for Champ Car to get a name for themselves :)

  • Those americans go to far with their advertising!

  • Oh, yes, that is one bad bad accident. Oh wow! Absolutely amazing!

    Accident? Yer, right!

  • Coming off of the kink is just hair-raising, sphincter tightening experience. Most of these car are doing 150 through there.

  • why full course yellow?????

  • I think the Safety Car was deployed so a recovery vehicle could remove Oliver Gavin's car, that's why there was a full course yellow.

  • It's the states...they give full course yellow even for a rabbit crossing the circuit.

  • safety first!

  • It's a car stranded in the gravel trap, meters away from the tarmac..., and there isn't even debrie on the circuit.

Yellow flags in the States are very cheap means to get the field back together, yes.

  • Main reason is that they then can give commercials. They wanted to do the same with soccer, replace 2 times 45 minutes with something with more breaks. It's a cultural thing, related to attention span being of different length.

  • lol

  • Why do they even have champ car billboards the series doesnt exist any more

    Lol full course caution again

Do they ever actually get to race? At some Grand Am races this year they've spent longer following the saftey car than they have racing

  • they used to have a ALMS/Champcar weekend last year b4 tony george and his bitch ass killed it in 2007. the just but banners over the cardboard champcar signs. Champcar R.I.P. 2007

  • They went full course caution because the car's in a dangerous spot. Think about it's sitting a few feet off the track and probably the heaviest braking point on the track.

  • They needed a FCY there, the car was in an extremely dangerous position.

  • Look a little more closely - the Champ Car part billboard was on the inside. Road America must've felt like being a little cheap, so they turned the old Champ Car signs inside-out and printed new stuff on the unused side.

  • Grand am is a different serries.

what supprises me is they don't throw more cautions in F1, sometimes you see cars in dangerous spots and they race on yet at the same time the FIA is imposing safty standards that are making the tracks less enjoyable to watch

  • lol, the irony of that billboard.

  • another irony is that spyker f1 died about the same time (i'm just busting your chops no offense) as champ car. champ car was the closest thing to f1 that i've seen. i asked an alms driver if he missed champ car running in conjunction with their series and he said no "we were carring the show anyway". maybe but those panoz dp01's were pretty bad a**!
