@donnyaldridge If you're implying that rats are viscous, or that those "sweet rat" shots are of a fake rat... Dude no. Rats make excellent pets, especially for children. Hamsters, mice, pretty much any other rodent is far less intelligent and in the case of hamsters (a popular pet for some reason), unsociable and prone to biting. Every rat I've ever known has been cuddly and affectionate. Lick his fingers and toes is more like it.

the sad truth about rats: you either LOVE them or HATE them. there isnt a real in between if you dont count toleration. the reality is because of what they stand for disease and plagues and death. the sad thing with my lil Toby is that she gets it all the time, people are scared of her - it doesnt really help that she's hairless either - but i enjoy it when i can take her babysitting with me. the kids love her, even if their mother doesnt, she still lets me bring her.
