  • Ah ha... Cockburn. Jk, had to get it out of my system =D

  • What key is this in?

  • Wow. Just wow. You are a joy to listen to. Particularly your original stuff. Please update your subscribers when (hopefully not "if") you make your songs downloadable (itunes or otherwise). I became an instant fan!

  • this definitely has a cockburn sound to it!.. nice job

  • Great playing, lovely sound

  • Wow you are amazing at the guitar!! lol i cant play if my life depended on it lol

  • YOUR AMAZING its touching :) You should get recorded :)

  • Nice job man your fingerpicking is top notch!!! I wrote an acoustic fingerpicking song similar to this called Variations on a Capo. check out my channel to hear it.

  • Reminds me of the Allman Brothers a little bit... nice job

  • Thanks! I'll probably be re-recording all my instrumentals in order to release an album in the not-too-distant future. I just have to figure out details like how I want to go about it/whether I will release it free or on itunes.

  • @BenEzraSoundProject i'd buy it on itunes, haha

  • I stumbled across a couple of your videos and am just really grooving on them. Your playing reminds me not only of Kottke but of really solid and musical players like Pat Donahue and Mike Dowling. Your cover of the Ben Folds Five's MESS makes me want to cover it myself.

  • Wow, I'm flattered that my playing reminds you of those guys! I've found that a lot of Ben Folds stuff translates to guitar in a cool way...that there's an arrangement that sort of jumps out at you, but sounds very different from the original.

  • that's pretty neat!

  • Glad you liked it :)

  • wonderful! keep on rockin' :)

  • Thanks! Will do :)

  • Whoa it brings tears to my eyes!

  • Thank you so much for that wonderful compliment!

  • beautyful

  • Glad you thought so :)

  • How do you learn how to play like this?

  • I studied classical guitar for about 7 years before teaching myself folk fingerpicking techniques, and it made the transition pretty easy. You could definitely learn fingerpicking straight away, though - things like Travis picking and learning to play independently with the thumb and fingers are the basics. I can't recommend any books, though, because the only lessons I took were in classical guitar.

  • Nicely done.

  • Thanks man!

  • ive got that jag special in the background!

  • Nice! I should have some videos coming up in the next month featuring that Jag :)

  • wow...

once again, man, ur so so so so good...

i mean, i can do that kind of instrumentals but i think i can never compose songs/instrumentals as great as urs..haha..

10/10! keep it up man! and i'm hoping 2 see more if u have some time..

  • Thanks for the kind compliments! Plenty more material on its way as time permits...it will be quite a while before there are any more guitar instrumentals, though. I write in many different styles, so I'm hoping to get through a bunch more of them before revisiting this type of thing.

  • Great job.The harmonic section was really boring though.keep up the awsome work!!!!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed (most of) it. Sorry to hear the harmonics weren't to your taste.

  • Excellent sound!

  • Thanks!

  • Ben, don't you have a myspace, so I can add you? Are you working on new videos? Your music is great.

  • Thanks! Feel free to add me, a myspace is probably going to be in the works eventually (I'd rather spend my free time on making music for now). I'm always working on writing and recording new stuff, there should be some new videos in the near future. Still have a couple of acoustic songs to upload, then I'll be recording some electric band-based stuff next.

  • that was very soothing, but made me anxious at the same time....very nice....keep 'em comming....

  • I gladly will!

  • great job guy this was awesome

  • Thanks!

  • Channeling is a GOOD thing! :D meg

  • Yeah, it's funny how some songs come out and it's just really obvious who influenced/inspired it.

  • thanks for checking it out!

  • very nice man!! this is a great tune

  • thanks, I really appreciate it.

  • My daughter told me you were talented...I have to agree...very well played.

  • thank you very much!

  • Nice!! Ya, alot of BC in there. You've got a rock solid thumb!

  • Thanks! Look out for an instrumental called Virgo soon, it's got more of a Leo Kottke flavour to it (Leo and Bruce are my acoustic guitar idols).

  • This is fucking brilliant, thanks to bobostonepony for sharing. 5 stars from me.

  • wow, I'm really flattered. Thanks for watching! And a big thanks to bobostonepony for pointing you my way.

  • great stuff! I know hard it is to play stuff like this. Actually, I dont think I could play this? Really really nice.

  • thanks so much!
