  • hey my after effects do not have this plug in please help

  • awesome! but how can I put it in an other video or something?

  • Thank you dude.

  • Thank you Sir! Have a wonderful day. :O)

  • awesome tutorial

  • Great tutorial, easy to follow and to the point, you rock!!!

  • Greatest after effect tutorial ive ever seen. So easy to follow. Fire looks amazing, thanks a ton. Didnt even have to watch it, i could leave it on in the backround and listen to it and i finished the fire in about 15m tops and i started after effects just 2 days ago. Truly an amazing tutorial. Keep it up! :)

  • @Sacred777Flame Thanks for the kind words. You're welcome ;)

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 wow man thanks for that simple tutorial thanks a lot!!!

  • @TheFILIPLAV You're welcome,

  • WHATS THE BEGINNING SONG???

  • @afker553 It has no name. It's a beat that I made a long time ago.

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 send me over PM plz

  • @afker553 I don't have the original version anymore. Just a "remade" one.

  • thanks.. sort out ur mic tho nex ttime?

  • WOOHO MORE THNX lol thnx to these im gonna leave my teacher mouth wide open xD lol

  • WOOT DUDE THNX!! great help...so is there a way that blurry only affect the fire but not everything behind it??? just asking.....But thnx man great vid

  • @thealphandomega Just pre-compose the Particles Layer and the Adjustment Layer. Select them both and choose "Layer -> Pre-Compose", and click ok.

  • Thanks!

  • looks cool if you create another fire behind it with spheres instead of bubbles and cc vector blur with the amount of about 240.

  • how dyou make it slower?

  • Hey can u send me the Fire video u used ?

  • can you make an astral projection tutorial?

  • lolz 3:37 holy shh..

    nice tutorial by the way

  • Thanks for the tutorial!

I'm all new to after effects. Is there any possibility to paste this into another videoclip?

  • @Bernler75 Just put the video clip into the same composition where the fire is and make sure it's below the fire layer.

  • thank you!

  • OH HAI ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS!

  • very helpful thank you

  • Are you Tommy Wiseau?

  • @capp88 lol..no.

  • Good effect, still looks a little am though. I would say that the end result would only be good for an animation, not VFX. Keep working on it, but you helped me get started.

  • Great tutorial, awesome effect!

  • Can i ask how powerfull is your CPU? (at the beggining i though that 2 x 3ghz is enough for AE (it is for 3D modelling), and now i know i was wrong) :/

  • @rachetandclank3 2 x 3GHz is very much enough (I recorded this video on my laptop that had a 1.6GHz processor). What's even more important is RAM. I'd say you need at least 4GB or RAM to make AE run pretty smoothly.

    Right now I'm using a 6 x 3.2GHz machine with 8 GB of RAM.

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 10" netbook (i have that one too) is enough then? But what about AE 64bit cpu requirement? Such netbook doesn't own it :/ (did i missed something?)

  • @rachetandclank3 64bit is not your CPU, it's the operating system. You'll need a 64bit version of Windows or Mac OS to run AE CS5. For CS4 and below you don't need 64bit.

Also, that notebook you have might be enough to run it, but if the specs are low it's gonna run really slow, so it's better to install it on your 2x3GHz computer.

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 lol, i have 512 MB of RAM and AE works fine

  • @ethanville For simple stuff but I have loaded some projects that when I went to render I had 100megs to NO FREE MEMORY LEFT on my 8 gigs. FIrst time in the 2 years I have had this machine that I ran out of memory with 8 gigs.

I would say that when dealing with lots of layers and particle effects across multiple layers that 16 gigs is what you need, or should I say in two of the projects I loaded up and tried needed.

  • Really great tutorial that was of great help! And you are entertaining! Your reaction when you changed the vector blur amount was funny. Keep making tutorials!

  • This is very nice, i have a question: Can i add fire to a picture ?

It's a picture of my brother in the woods, but i want to make the trees look like they are on fire ;-)

  • @TheSupernaturalShows Well you can try adding this to a picture. Set up everything and then just save the frame as an image. I believe it's Composition-> Save Frame As-> File and then in the menu choose JPEG Sequence.

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 I'll try it right now ;-) I'll definitely subscribe bro ;-) Thanks ;-)

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 Where can i find the JPEG Sequence ? ;-)

  • @TheSupernaturalShows After you go Composition-> Save Frame As-> File, the Render Queue will open up. There's an Output Module setting where it usually says "Photoshop" by default. Click on the word and the Output Module Settings window will show up. In the Format menu you can choose JPEG Sequence.

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 It doesn't work, it's really difficult :p

  • hey man awesome vid. one question tho. how could i add that into a vid clip. you you could let me know that would be great.

  • @thedoctorspage Well just put your videoclip into that composition and make sure it's below the fire. It should show through since the fire is semi-transparent.

  • Girls totally digg after effects :D!

  • thank you sire!

  • "I can create fire with my mouse"

    That's my new catchphrase.

  • @thevfxbro Hey! Yeah I think I already saw your reel on videocopilot :) nice channel. I've just been focusing on music lately so that's why there's no new motion graphics and stuff on mine :P

  • my flame was like burning dick

  • You should add some: Trapcode- shine to it, it makes it really cool.

  • can i have template of this?...

  • @hipztyle1 I guess by template you mean project file? Sorry, I don't have it anymore.

  • does it take tht long for one peice of fire every time?

  • @rslodge No. Once you have one you can duplicate it as many times as you want. You can also scale and position the other copies as needed. If you wanna have a slight change you can do that just for one of the copies for instance change the gravity parameter for some reason. So no need to do this all over again. Thanks for checking out the video!

  • This helped a lot! Thanks a bunch =D

  • Thanx for the tut! I found out that if I set the particle type as motion square, instead of bubbles i get a more realistic fire! Anyway thats only my opinion ! Thanx again!

  • @szlory Surprised nobody else has voted this up. This is a very handy tip.

  • "Whoa you can create fire with your mouse" "Yeah, that's me" WTF? LOL.

But the tutorial I found very useful. Please make more. I'd like to see something on "realistic water", if you even need my opinion :) Thank you. I thumbed up :)

  • @PlanetVerdia Thanks! Of course I'd like to hear everyones opinion :) I think I've seen a water tutorial somewhere....I'll PM you.

  • Girlfriend: Ohh you can make fire with your mouse!

    You: Yeah that's me...

    LMAO!!!! Great tutorial! :D

  • Comment removed

  • How would I make fire balls?

  • Hey I wanted to make a video of a person surrounded by fire. Like it was their aura or something. How would I do that?

  • @ShurikenG Put this fire on top of your video footage and cut out some of the middle part with a feathered mask. Make sure your person is placed right in that hole.

  • @ShurikenG Google or search on YouTube, and ask with PM to the experts ;D

    (NOT ME.... :D)

  • T.Y. for the tutorial, it's really helpful.

  • just made it. looks awesome

    thanks :)

  • It is more simple with Trapcode Particular

  • @DarkKram3 Well I think it's more or less the same..however you can achieve a much better effect with Particular since it has a lot more advanced options :)

  • How to slow down fire?

  • @7m4k3r Pre-compose everything, then right click on the pre-comp in the timeline and choose Time>Time stretch layer. Increase the time and the fire will be slower.

  • I just made one thanks for the tutorial

  • Can you do a ring of fire? Trying my self to figure it out.

  • Hey great job!

  • this was sick tutorial

but one question what is that little song u used at the start of the vid?

  • @tripleextreme916 Thanks! The song music

at the beginning is one of my older beats.

  • oh thanks sick u made it your self

is there any where i can listen 2 it?

and with the fire is there a way to make it so half of it is a different color?

  • @tripleextreme916 Yeah if you go to my channel

you can listen to my music.

And yeah you can change the color in the particle

settings. Just change the particle color.

You can also add another adjustment

layer and apply Hue/Saturation or Curves.

  • @Wuzzysbrand06

    oh ok

u got a lot of your music up

which one did u use for this video?

  • @tripleextreme916 Oh I didn't upload the one

I used in this video because it's an old one from

when I started making music. I think it kinda

sucks compared to my new songs and beats..

but if you PM me your e-mail I could send it to you.

  • thank yoo very much...its awesome...can u please show how to create a explosions...ty

  • @sk8deklasacijabobo

As for explosions it's better to use stock footage instead of doing it in AE.

  • I found out that if u change the transfer mode on cc particles to "add" it gives it a nice real touch to it.

  • thank you very much!

  • Increase to 10 and...HOLY SHIT...

    rofl

  • It's great tutorial and very useful for my school project :) (now i've got burning page in flash :D)

  • cool.its goooooood.

  • Very good

    Thanks i pmed you

    5

  • that's cool but the fire is kind of blocky... is there a way to make the top go inwards a bit?

  • Yes. You can pre-compose everything and then apply Effect -> Distort -> Mesh Warp. Play around.

  • Very nice. I have seen several fire animations and this is by far the best looking I have seen. I am on a fire department and will use this in our year end slide show dvd. Thanks!

  • after effec cs3 or cs4 ??

  • This is CS3.

    CS4 works the same, though.

  • awesome! used for a school project.

My girlfriend thought it was neat that I made fire with my mouse ;-)

  • Nice to hear that.

    I'm glad I could help

...also with the school project ;)

  • can u make a meteor??????

  • "im gonna change it t 10.....oh...holy shit" hhahaha that was priceless nice tutorial tho

  • I like it.

  • Thanks you ;)

  • thank you very much, you teached me a hard lesson.

  • Thanks. But if you have playing King of Fighters 1999, then you might have got the picture what I am trying to say.

Well thanks for the reply though.

  • Boss I wanna learn, flame effects, like K' Dash, Iori or Kyo in KOF series. Please send me the link for any of above mentioned things. Thanks

  • Boss? Sounds good :)

Not quite sure what you're looking for. If you're talking about the sparks and DragonBall kinda stuff shooting out of their hands like in the games you mentioned, you can find tutorials on similar stuff if you search for DBZ tutorials. I've seen some of those around here.

And if you're looking for more realistic stuff you should probably get some stock footage since most of the coolest fire/flame/explosion shots are done using pre-keyed action stock footage.

  • OSOOOM, this is really GOOD, 5Stars

  • Thanks for the help man!

  • woho! thank u very much!

  • this is awesome dude!! :)

  • dude that helps me a bunch. dont worry after effects guys get girlfriends eventually. :)

  • Haha..I hope so :)

    Thanks for the comment.

    I'm glad I helped.

  • ???? stupid steriotype there r alot of smart ppl with girls!!

  • It was a joke dude. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

  • whats the screen recorder you use?

  • I used Camtasia Studio 5 here.

  • The best tutorial of creating fire i found on YouTube! Thanks man!

  • aweesoome!!!but one thing: how will add this effect in a video?sorry i am a noob

  • Make the fire in a separate Composition like in the tutorial first. Then make another Composition with your video. Now take the Fire Composition and drag it into the Video Comp. Since the fire has a perfect alpha channel, all the black will be gone and you'll just see the fire. Then you can place it wherever you want and also rotate, scale etc.

  • after that how do i save it and make it as a video file?

  • Choose Composition-->Add to Render Queue.

Then in the Render Queue window you'll see your Comp you just made and under the Comp you can change the Output Module (the format, audio options etc) and the "Output to" (where you wanna save it). Then just hit Render...and wait :)

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH =Dbut one more thing (sorry i know i am becoming tiring) when i put the effects of fire there is a big green x-like thing in the screen..how do you i remove this?i am using cs3

  • The green X is because you're using a trial version of the CyCore Plug-in Particle World. The only workaround is to buy it.

However, you could add try adding the Color Key effect to your Fire Comp. Select the green from the X with the color picker in the Color Key effect. The X should be less noticable. You can try adding a slight Fast Blur after that. Not sure if this is gonna work out though.

  • thanks for everything man!!you are a genius thank you!!!!!!!heres a sub from me =D

  • Thanks :)

  • Good video !!! thanks for doing this

    Please do more with particles.

  • Awesome ur cool man this rocks

  • at last, a good person make a graet tutorial of fire; thanks dude!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for everything...

    it help me a lot.

  • thanks a lot but how to make the fire face you

  • Try changing the Animation parameter to Explosive in the Producer properties and turn the gravity to zero. Then just play with the velocity, resistance and other parameters to get what you're looking for.

  • dude thanks for everything

  • very good tutorial:D

can you tell me the name of the song that starts at the begining of the movie?

  • I made that beat myself...don't really have a name for it :)

If you take a look at some of my other videos you can listen to a few other songs I made as well.

  • Is it just me or do a lot of arabs make AE tuts?

  • I don't know but I'm not an arab whatsoever :)

Otherwise I would have started the tutorial like the guy at maxafter [dot] com does :)

He's very good and inspiring btw check out his site!

  • Thanks man! Your tutorial works GREAT

  • Very useful. Thanks!

  • Great vid

  • Thanks for the tutorial. Really excellent !!

I've got two questions. How can you decrease the speed of the fire ? And which program are you using to make the tutorial. I really like the zoom when you are showing something.

    Thanks again ;-)

  • Hey thanks for the comment. I'm glad you like the tutorial.

To decrease the speed of the fire you can try lowering the velocity and increasing the resistance parameter. Play with the gravity also.

Another solution would be to just pre-compose everything, then right click on the pre-comp in the timeline and choose Time>Time stretch layer. Increase the time and the fire will be slower.

    And the second question:

I used Camtasia Studio 5. You can activate the auto-zoom somewhere in the options :)

  • Thanks for you answer. I tried to pre-compose the fire and it works well.

Hope to see more tutorials from you.

    Kind Regards,

  • Great Thanks How do You Put Words On It

  • Put a text layer above the particles and adjustment layer.

  • Thanks, I can show my girlfriend haha LMAO!

  • Nice tutorial man...

  • Thanks for this tutorial!!

  • heh cool. I've not watched the whole tutorial yet but that fire looks awesome =)

  • Dont get this with the "CC Particle World".. ive tryed to install it but it doesnt work.. i use Adobe AE CS4..

  • The CC Effects should come with CS4...

However, you can try using Particle Playground or download a trial version of Trapcode Particular from the Trapcode website.

You can basically use any particle system. Just make it somewhat look like fire. Most particle systems should have a gravity option or an equivalent parameter. Make the particles go upwards and apply the effects to an adjustment layer just like in the video.

  • Thanks, that was just what I needed!

  • Awesome!!!

  • Nice Tutorial man, kinda funny too

  • yo man what screen recorder do you use?

  • I used Camtasia Studio 5 for this one.

  • spoko tutorila " 5 "

  • Cool! Thanks for the help!

  • Thanks Man!!!

  • Thanks man this will help out alot, funny tutorial.

  • Thank you so much! Mine looks exaclty like yours lol.

  • Oh I undocked it lol, and there it is. :)

  • Where do you get that cc pa plug in thing? Lol.

  • I typed cc whatever and nothing!

  • google cc after efect plugings, should bring it up?

  • cheers man

  • thanks

  • thanks that was helpfull! :)

  • Haha Wuzzysbrand aka ... Wuzzysbrand :D

    Nice tut man

  • this is a great tutorial. Very informative

  • thank for alot i just add colorama select out put cycle; fire and it gave me very good flame thanks

  • Well, there's a couple of effects that you can bend layers with...

    Go to Effect-->Distort

    -Bezier Warp

    -CC Bend It

    -CC Bender

    -Liquify

    -Mesh Warp

and if you have CS3 or CS4 there's also the Puppet Tool.

All those effects can bend your Fire :)

  • That's cool. I would like to know if you know how to make the fire go side ways. I want to learn how to make fire to make some firebending effects.
