@crimechat , PEOPLE THAT PRESENT SYMTOMS OF EYE FLOATER, THEY WERE EATING BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS, HUGE AMMOUTS OF COFEE, SUGAR, AND A LOT OF SODA. DEPRESSION STRESS, ETC..
I have a similar story - My floaters appeared overnight after putting in old (possibly tainted) contacts the day before. I've explained this to 4 or so doctors and all insist that the contacts did not trigger the floaters. Well - bullshit, they did. I'm 41, I've had severe floaters for 20 years, and - I'm not trying to be melodramatic here - they have ruined my life.
I've had floaters since I was a kid. As an adult I was diagnosed as having senile retinoschisis and lattice degeneration. The doctors can't seem to agree. FYI, this is not how floaters appear to the individual; they appear to cover the entire field of vision and are transparent.
I've had normal squigly floaters for as long as I can remember (probably because I'm nearsighted so that caused it to happen early with me), although since about maybe two years ago, I will occasionally (maybe once every 3 months or so) have what I think is a floater of some kind where I have really bad reading/center vision to where it's like I'm partialy blind, but my peripheral vision is just fine. Can anybody tell me more about this? Idk if it's a weiss ring or what. I'm 20 btw
I started noticing my floaters after I washed my eyes with dishwash several times they hurted for days....they got red and shit...I told the doctor that I started seeing these floaters after I washed my eyes with dishwash....my eyes wasnt damaged on the surface but I still think somehow I triggered something inside my eyes by using dishwash...my eyes got irritated so maybe something inside happened...but my doctor said straight away NO thats not why you see the floaters lol..
@GameRelatedStuff From what I understand about floaters, I think that it is highly unlikely that your floaters were caused by the dishwash. It could have just been coincidental, or perhaps your eye irritation just drew your attention to your floaters for the first time.
@Casho0106 ye thats what I have been told... and thats actually what I believe.. im just being paranoid I guess... I really focused on my vision when my eyes were dry and irritated I looked at street lights and lamps and I read text....then I started seeing these floaters and thought wtfffffff.......im only 23 so maybe I always had them or they showed up close to the time when I washed my eyes with dishwash... well I still got 20 20 vision and my floaters arent many like 3 on each that I can see
@Casho0106 I've always had Eye floaters... when i was 11 I told my mom and we went to the eye docter... I drew pictures of what i saw.. I called them "Seerer's" though.
I have eyefloaters alottt and im young :( im scared because i don't wanna get a surgery or anything and im gonna go to the eye doctor im scareddd ... :'(
@XxBubbleBearXx don't be scared i'm 19 and i've had them as long as i can remember people might not notice them and still have them i know they're there but i rarely notice them. It'll eventually become a part of your life and you won't notice them at all after a while it's worth going to the opticians about them but mine said it's natural and millions upon millions of people have them
@chaz9123 awwhh thanks! (: that made me feel better.. Sometimes i feel like people could notice them and i usually get them when im nervous sometimes .. thank youu! ^.^
interesting, im not sure if i have floaters, the floaters that i have seen while looking them up seem to be cloudy material. the things that i see in My vision look like little clear circles, with a small dot in the middle of them. they just started to appear a few months ago while i was stationed in afghanistan. i'm wondering if stress has anything to do with that? also, i can only see them when i look at a lighter colored object, or the sky.
@spcinfantry What you are describing sounds like floaters. I don't think that there is a clear link between stress and floaters. Perhaps people just notice them more when they under stress. That said, I can't even begin to comprehend the stress of being stationed in Afghanistan.
@mouayad888 hi man. I just want to know if your doctor told you that the floaters will still go away if the stress will go away too. (sorry for the english)
Wow, that's amazing. I've got loads of them in my right eye. It's interesting to actually see someone else's floaters on camera. I've thought about the laser removal treatment for mine but it looks a bit risky. If they hit your retina by mistake you'll be left with a blind spot for life.
@shadowsburnme Sorry but I don't know the name of the procedure. If anyone does, please post and I will included it in the description. I am 41 years old, and my floaters are still annoying me.
@Casho0106 Thanks for your response but please please can someone tell us name of this procedure? is it called Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)? Did you get it done at clinic?
whats this procedure called? i have transparent-ish floaters from laser eye surgery and wouldnt mind having them checked out to see where they are in my eye.
@ Casho0106 I have the same problem! There's only one thing I'm not sure about. My mouches voulantes feel much more stationary than they look at the video. Are your floaters changing positions very often?
@Niedes91 The reason they are moving around so much is that the Doctor was asking me me to move my eyes from side to side and up and down. Unless I do this, they are much more stationary.
yep, youtube is amazing.when i looked at a plane spraying chemtrails i thought they were poisoning me because i saw almost exactly this.then i noticed it wasnt in the air but in my eyes. Then i thought fox news had me under mind control somehow...lol...tragedy averted,floaters...thx a million for the post.
my eye floaters are exactly same as here.they are in front of me when I open my eyes in morning till night in the the bed. can you imagine? they are making me mad.
these are not bad at all. I have mine 14 years and I finally find a guy who can remove them and he tells me to wait and now I dont have insurance. I hate doctors. It drives me nuts looking at the sky and a white area. This guy is lucky and dont even know it. I wish I could get mine on here
@MrJim9090 This guy is me, and I certainly don't feel lucky. I can't believe you are complaining about your eye floaters when some people are completely blind or are dying of cancer. You are lucky and don't even know it. While of course, I don't believe what I wrote in those last two sentences, I hope that it at least makes you think about the insensitivity of your post.
@Casho0106 I was not trying to offend you, but these things are so awful and cause so many mental issues it is not even funny. I am blind in one eye and the other is completely filled with floaters. But you are right I am lucky to be alive. They are supposed to fix both of my eyes and have promised to get the floaters out. I will be glad to tell you who operated on me wen its over so u can get those things out. How did u video them? I would love to show you mine
@MrJim9090 Sorry to hear how severe your issues are; that really sucks. Unfortunately I don't recall the camera that was used. I hope that you get a good result with the operation.
My floaters definitely look the same. Could you tell me please what kind of floaters are these? 'Cause there are different types of them. There can be some floaters in the vitreous, which can be easily seen by an ophthalmologist and be treated by laser treatment. But there can be floaters in the "pre-macular bursa", which are extremely small, but they seem to be big because they're very close to the retina. Unfortunately this kind cannot be treated by laser as far as I know. thx for the answer
@csjoco They are in the Vitreous. Often these types of floaters still can't be readily seen by an Opthalmogist unless they use specialised imaging (as shown in the video). I don't share your optimism of the effectiveness of laster treatments, as I have heard from many people that say this is ineffective.
@Casho0106 While Laser treatment for vitreous floaters is not always fully effective it has far less risks than a vitrectomy. Laser vitreolysis is non-invasive as there is no puncturing of the sclera. Laser vitreolysis is probably a good alternative for someone who wants to minimize risks and downtime of floater treatment. Also laser vitreolysis is not mutually exclusive to vitrectomy. If the laser doesn't work you can always do a vitrectomy later.
@jkomut They are still risks when it comes to laser vitreolysis. I read the story of a young guy that got it done and one of the laser shots hit something in his eye other than the floater and he ended up with a scotoma, which is basically a black spot on his vision that does not fade, or move. 'Worse than any floater' he said. His story is in floatertalk.yuku
