It's sad hearing about him missing his little brother Stevie. Must be so hard for him. I miss Stevie too and not the musician part of him (I do think he's the best though), but who he was as a person even though I didn't know him personally. I've learned a lot about him. A very special man indeed, he was.
Interesting interview. I last saw Jimmy in Austin at Ray Hennings music store and I was playing on a new red strat, and it happening to be the intro into the SRV version of Texas Flood. Jimmy just looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears, and I was a little taken back by it all. Anyway, great guy and I love his music.
@idlethreat1329 Thank You for sharing! The video is just a partial. i only published the whole thing in a hungarian music magazine, RockinforM. Jimmie is super cool! Greetings from Europe!
Im from Portland OR and have seen SRV once, and Jimmy Vaughan several times in Portland OR and the one time I saw Stevie Ray was with Robert Cray Band and Bonnie Raitt in Eugene, OR in 1982. I was dancing in front of SRV, I loved it.
Those were the days, and I think a picture was published with me in the front
Am I allowed to write that I find the interviewer more interesting to watch than the interviewee? Her smile cheered me up for the next week. I request that someone interview her, please.
Seems like a nice man.
