I wrote a long comment about how piracy advocates sharing of media which stimulates interest and generates other profits through ticket sales etc, but I can't seem to find it now. The guy who replied to me had his comment flagged as spam which was weird.
@tbonewilson Totally agree. I invited friends to see Lee live but they couldn't afford to spend £20 on something they were unsure they'd like. But then they downloaded his DVDs online to see if they liked it. Since then they have seen Lee twice with me live and we all made additional purchases at the show. People always consider the monetary loss from piracy and never the gain through sharing. A show might have actually sold less without the benefit of piracy/sharing.
Great interview, Stewart you're funny, succinct and very much on the ball. As a non-comedian but an artist who just want to manage to make a living you and Ted Chippington are heroes of mine who keep me sane -ish.
