  • good

  • thats what those symbols are on the alain ships, augmented reality markers! :)

  • Could the markers be displayed on an e-ink device and work the same? Say a kindle like screen or on a large table interface... the tablet/table could change the locations of the charts/widgets marker locations on the fly while you viewed the actual interface through some sort of goggle. Make the surface touch sensitive and you have an ipad killer...

  • Cool stuff.

  • I love technology

  • I HAVE to learn how to use the whole augmented reality! This is a great project guys. Very well done from New Zealand.

  • pretty cool, but dude,

    glEnable(DEPTH_TEST);

    If you have opengl w/ depth test disabled, it will draw your cubes on top of each other in the order you draw them, as seen in this video. enabling depth test will draw the nearer planes on top of the farther, making it look a lot more realistic.

  • nicely done.

  • Holy smokes. I envisioned this sort of technology 20 years ago while in the US Navy. Imagine looking at a pressure or temperature display with a special set of goggles, and having the readouts appear in line of sight. What kind of funding are you getting!

  • I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those Deaf-Mutes...

  • GITS:SAC FTW!
