Check out Wikipedia and read about the Health and Environmental Concerns before you put your baby on it. Organic is better because it comes from nature not some chemical plant. lol yeah they have this new smell to them and i think it lasts for a long time maybe but it doesn't stink

It does have a smell when new due to the unique manufacturing but the smell does go away after a couple of weeks. I love my Tempur-Pedic bed!
