I got this gun with an upgraded M120 spring and a Reinforced G&P SR25 Upgrade Piston an i also tuned up some other internals and im running a 9.6v battery and its the best damn airsoft gun ever. BTW thanks for the video NC man!

i use to use that but just a tip a lipo mini fill fit in the grip and thats what use a 11.1v so just another way of riging if u want to try that

Yes it will but you need to buy a 9.6v battery to pull that spring.

i bought the l85a1 (r85a1) recently and another fix maybe cheaper not sure just buy some velcro and velcro 1 peace on the bottom foregrip and 1 peace on the battery cut to fit and on the bottom of the gun cut it half so u can talk the bottom compartment apart still and run the wire to the left side of the gun and u only need to flip the top of the foregrip up and your good to gooo

I have had no problems with it. Most piston problem is when people use a 9.6v battery with the stock spring.

I like it but it can be a temperamental gun. It is very heavy at 10lbs. you will notice it at the end of the day.

thisisjust a suggestion but if you bring the wire out the bottom of the pouch couldent you moveit foreward a little and take it away from over the safety switch

It is excellent training. Law enforcement uses airsoft weapons to train with. About the only thing they really lack is the noise of a firearm.

It's two pieces. The sight clamps on to the mount bracket. The pictures you have seen are with the sight off. Won't fit in the box with the sight on.

No. Only the Army battery or the G&G battery for the L85 will fit. Go external like I did and you will be better off. The stock battery that comes with it lasted all day no problem at the skirmish yesterday. About 6 hours of hard shooting.

The main diff is the plug. Mini bats have the small plug and large bats have the large plug. The big benefit though is the large batteries you can get more maH which means they will last longer. Most mini batteries only go to about 1600 maH maybe but the large batteries you can get 4800 maH.

That is correct. The shells usually take 25 bb's and then you fill it with Green Gas that is used for pistols. There are some mods for them so you can fire a nerf rocket out of them.

Most airsoft sites carry them. If you don't have a smart charger you should buy one that also has the discharge feature. You can also fine instructions online to build one.

Not sure but I don't think the 9.6v would do the blowback any good. If you went 9.6v lock the bolt open.

Anyway, I used my r85/l85a1 rifle in a airsoft skirmish, and it kicks ass! im freakin popular from that gun because every ask one about that gun. have you ever found any rusty spots on your l85?Ii have but I took care of that problem with "3 in 1". whats cool about that is that it doesnt eat the paint. oh yeah i got 3 kills with that gun, its great for woodland.

Sweet...glad you are diggin the L85. Everyone does ask questions about this rifle. I can highly recommend doing the external battery pouch you see in this video. Yes I have found a few rust spots here and there on mine. No big deal though. Its a long trip on a slow boat from China. It's a wonder they don't arrive any worse than what they do.

L85A1 rocks and there pretty rare to see in airsoft games because you usally see a player with a m4, ak-47, and a mp5 because those modles are the cheapest AEG models you can get.

One of the videos touches on the foregrip. You put the right side on first then the left has to slide down into place. Watch the battery connector too it can get in the way if it is next to the chrome rod.
