I love this film but the problem is the entire pemise is completely flawed because of the simple paradox that if Jim/Biggles were successful in 1917 (as they were) in defeating the Germans/the machine, then there would be NO reason in the 1980s for Jim to go back in time in the first place. It's the paradox which almost certainly proves time travel backwards is impossible.
@JStarNewYrk this is such an amazing movie i am so fascinated by it, i cant get enough of it! i always dream about going in that mysterious tower on the tower bridge, and opening a door and seeing creepy officer raymond there! argh! its such a good movie so underrated! im pretty sure if they did a remake of it now, itd completly botch! a sequel would be good though :)
@JStarNewYrk ya by looking at that It could be from 1961-1967 I do know a lot of the buildings in back and what building will start to come up at 1968-1973 down there. so yes it is pre-1970 footage. 1985 footage you would see it all built up down there.
je me souviens bien de ce film, j'etais ado et c'etait super. J'adore le fantastic et le science fiction, alors forcement ca aide. Si en plus la musique est bonne, c'est que du bonheur.
Bisous les lapinous et surtout, bisous les lapinettes.
Thank you SO much for uploading this. I love the books and (though this is not the reason i like the film) I am a huge fan of Jon Anderson who wrote "Do You Want to Be a Hero". Thanks a LOT!
Wow...it's been a long time since i've seen this movie, hey thanks for uploading this movie. There some songs in this movie are classic no matter of what some people think it's still cool by the sounds of them just wait and watch this movie you'll see what i mean.
Thank you for posting this movie. I had great memories watching this as a kid and I havent seen it in about 23 years Love the opening song. Thanks again !
I have the fondest memories of this movie from my youth - the theme alone is incredibly memorable. I was into time travel and this movie had a fun and unique method for it. Plus the ending where... ah, but I don't want to spoil it. To all of you watching this, enjoy!

I have seen this movie in the longest time. One of my childhood favorites.
I just noticed something...where are the WTC Twin Towers at 7:18?
The movie came out in 1986 and the Twin Towers were completed by 1973. I guess they used pre-1970 stock footage of Downtown Manhattan.

@92af i know, he is unrecognisable as a soft spoken retired officer here, as apose to the villian he played as the evil sherrif of nottingham

Gotta love a movie that starts off with Peter Cushing, lightning time travel, and WWI all in the first five minutes (LITERALLY!!)
Thanks for uploading this! Been years since seeing this, but nice to know where to find it.
