ED2, one of my favorite movies, ever. Not only one of the funniest movies i've ever seen, it was a fantastic, incredibly gross and frequently original horror movie.(the last, quite unusual in this genre) I have to say that it was a no less 'real' horror movie for its humor.

Evil Dead (the first) was good, but loosely directed and fairly amateurish throughout (no disrespect to either Sam Raimi, a fine director, or Bruce Campbell, one of my favorite actors). Musical looks funny. What about L.A.???

In the first film, Ash goes there with his friends, all his friends are killed by Candarian demons, he runs away. Then he comes back in the second film with his girlfriend, to exact same cabin! WTF!

The production company that made Evil Dead are different from the ones who made Evil Dead 2. It would have cost a lot of money to get the rights to use the footage from number 1, so Sam Raimi decided to simply recap the film in 7 minutes, making a few changes to simplify what had happened.

it is apparently going to be 3D as well. that way, one can experience the splatter zone, without the inconvenience (or blessing), of the fake blood.

But I won't go immediately, as first I want to attend the play itself, and have fake blood splatter on my shirt-acts like a souvenier to remind me of the play.

Army of Darkness has an alternate ending depending on your region. *SPOILER* USA/Oceania had the Smart ending and Europe had a different ending. I preffered the ending USA got, worth checking out.
