being to young to be into floyd when they were around,i used to hear this track on tv progs, adverts etc...and wonder what it was, then 1 day i found out,1 of my all time fave songs by ANYONE!!! and the song that got me listening to floyd-truly spine-tingling stuff!!!!
@Florencione Have to agree, Bianca Antoinette's rendition was spot on, in some subtle ways better than the original. This one is good, but a step down.
@Florencione it's really hard to say. For me, are both the best live version i have ever hear. I think the difference between Bianca and Ola is that Bianca starts more power than Ola, but Ola makes an almost perfect sequence (the sequence at the end of the first part, who starts at minute 2:11), her voice is more "clean" than Bianca's voice in the same sequence. In contrast, Bianca sing all the song, while Ola shares the song with the other singer (she's very good too, i like also her).. :)
@MALAMENT I'm glad we agree that Bianca Antoinette's 'first sequence' is way better. I'm surprised though that you can't see that the same principle applies to the 'second sequence'. 'Ola' struggles to hit those top notes there and Bianca Antoinette hits them spot on. And when this singer comes down from there you can hear, if you compare it to Bianca Antoinette's version that she comes down way lower than Bianca Antoinette. It's like comparing Pavarotti to Paul Potts hitting a high C.
Amazing!!
