Doc Williams and his group would do an annual tour up in Northern Maine every year back in the 50's and we always went to hear them. thanks for the trip down memory lane
I remember Aubrey Hanson doing a good job at this one listening to CFNB at 06:00am while going to Ranger School(Freddy Beach) back in the 60's. Love it.
Growing up i heard my dad talk about this song, it is one of his favourites. He's an old farm boy that grew up in Chipman, New Brunswick. I've always wanted to hear this song, but I've never been able to find it until now. Thankyou so much Mike. This means alot to me. I don't think he has heard it for a very long time. so the next time he is up, I'll play your video for him.

Doc and Chickie Williams were close friends of my family. I have many wonderful memories of traveling with the Doc Williams Show. My aunt visits Doc and his daughters regularly and sadly Chickie Died a couple years ago. Doc has a wonderful way of telling a story. Great Job !
Thanks for posting this Mike. YOu sound very similar to Doc himself. I have an Uncle who used to sing this song beautifully and I am now missing him...haven't seen him in 4 years...so this is very nice to hear.
