First off, the vid should have focused on the Rubicon, not the 4dr jk which is more of a street jeep. Rubicons are stock off road ready. They are lighter, more durable, and a whole lot cheaper to buy. a bit unfair comparing a standard to an automatic. And sure the raptor has a more powerful engine, but offroading is all about power

@Ryantube007 You do realize that Rubicon is a trim level and JK is the generation model designation right? They are not mutually exclusive. The JK Jeep is available in Sport, Sahara and Rubicon trims (and some additional package trims). The maroon jeep IS a Rubicon. Both the Jeep and Raptor were also automatics.  Were you watching the same video as the rest of us?

All in all the Ford Raptor is still a Ford truck with a few add ons, did I say truck? lol, yes. Sorry but its just true. Im not saying its not nice, its probably the nicest looking truck on the market, hands down. But is it a true off roader, NO. Its more for show and looks and possibly a once a year trail driving. I just really see Ford using a truck for their off road sales machine is a little crazy. Lot of bad factors if you think about it. Its a truck honestly and has a truck bed, so? Honestly I would really love to see Ford bring back out the Bronco, with the Bronco then Ford will have me. With the Raptor I find it to be a light off roader but by far the Wrangler or even a Land Rover full size suv has the Raptor. But this is my opinoin, as like everyone has one.

@harvy3317 I agree with you. But I could speak for most Ford fans as well as 4x4 pickup trucks fans in general. I own a 3/4 ton diesel and a international scout diesel, and they are both very great trucks for offroading in their own way my 3/4 is also great for towing my international which is a big plus. But if i could have a "truck" right in the middle of both it will be the the Ford Raptor. Two of my uncles had a Bronco, man were those trucks nice,specially my uncles Bronco II.

Everything you saw the Raptor do in this video is about everything it CAN DO, I'm still trying to figure out why a person would pay that much cash for a Truck that can only do things that get boring and old quick?

I remember when they were released here in Canada, there was an immediate waiting list a few months later you would see at least 1 a day on the road a few more months after that, the only ones you saw were in used car dealerships, LOL, it is/was awesome.I haven't seen one in months.

Rubicons come stock with locking differentials in both the front and rear axles as well as electronic sway bar disconnect for even more articulation. Jeeps also have better approach break over and departure angles than the competitors. The point is the list goes on and on. Do some research before you comment badly about Jeeps bro

@nim016 They discontinued the Ranger this year I think. They wont bring the european version to the US because its only 4 inches shorter than the F-150. Ford doesnt want it to steal the spotlight from the F-150. The new Ranger seems to be much larger than the ones now. I think thats pretty crappy because I love my 02 Ranger I beat the shit out of it and it still runs and looks brand new at 172k miles. Ford trucks are amazing is all I can say, wouldnt buy any other brand(say no to japanese junk)

@greendayrules11 FYI, the Power Wagon is a 2500HD, and its far from a cheap knock off. If you actually look at one, and try it out you will notice theres a night and day different from the regular 2500 ( front and rear sway bar disconnect, lockers, 12 000lb warn winch, bilstein dampers, 33" KO's) theyre an incredibly capable truck, not to mention solid front axle. IFS just doesnt compare to the advantages of solid axles.

@Razorblade119 think of it this way, if you put 35's on anything it would mess with it. now, throw in some 4.88 gears and itll be back to stock. which sucks, because the new jk's have a terrible powertrain. jeeps shouldnt have a v6. my yj dos just as good, power wise, and off road, and it as 140 hp at the wheels and a carb. its now the tire size, its the shitty powertrain that cant hold its own.

@hardcorefiend1 Yeah putting in new gears would make it perform like stock but it'd still have significantly less power. And yeah, I totally agree. The V6 sucks and they should have just stayed with the inline because you really need the torque, especially in the low end. The inline 6 actually had less power but the power to weight ratio is a lot better cause it's smaller. The new JK has a power to weight ratio almost as bad as a Honda Accord,(JK: 12.71:1 Kw/kg, Accord 11.39:1 Kw/kg) YJ (20:1)
