I've been curious about Obama's plan to reduce the corporate tax rate to 28% He's been in support of raising taxes, especially on those who make over $250,000 so I found this to be suspect. There was good reason to be so. The plan to cut the rate to 28% is real enough, but Obama also wants to raise the dividend tax to 39.6%. Add to it the phase out of deductions and exemptions and the rate becomes 41%. That's still not all! Obamacare imposes a 3.8% investment surcharge. So, --
-by 2013 the new tax rate is 44.8%. Now then, combine the two tax rates (44.8% and 28%) and the total tax rate 72.8%! Right now, the combined rate is about 45-55%. Figures. Obama just can't help but drive our nation into the ground! He doesn't even consider the economic effects of such taxation!!!!

One of my Tile Reps stopped by today. She lives south of San Antonio on acreage over the Eagle Ford Shale. It seems that although she and her neighbors stand to make a good deal of Money they hate what they have to put up with. Instead of nice fresh country air it smells of chemicals almost all the time. Constant truck traffic day and night and trash left to blow all the time. So many people just signed up with the oil companies without lawyers and they are all regretting it.
