All totalitarian ideologies, whether it is secular (fascism, communism) or religious (Wahabbi, Salafist, reconstructionist, dominionist) are dangerous. Basically, these people who subscribe to those kinds of movement tried to establish 'Heaven on Earth' which have been proven repeatedly to be disastrous every time it is tried.
Are you guys aware what the Wallbuilders are trying to do to Pagans in the United States? They've argued in court that the Constitution isn't meant to protect non-monotheistic religions.
@BorgKing001 Communism may not have been a religion but it was a thoroughly faith-based mentality. It had its narrative of salvation, its saints and sinners, its prophets and bad guys, it's saviour and its devil and yes, even its paradise. To take the Soviet Union as an having an "atheist government" is to misunderstand Communism and pick on the entirely irrelevant fact that they were atheists.
@HannuMarijarvi They weren't atheists, they believed in a god...Stalin. There has never been an atheist government in the history of the world. A cult of personality is still a theistic organization, even if the object of worship is a man.
@HannuMarijarvi You're right. I thought you were referring to communism, not the government of the Stalinist Soviet Union. Since there has never been a communist government in human history, I'm not sure how you could've made that claim anyway. But yeah, I get it now.
@BacklTrack But what has the Aborted Human done wrong? NOTHING!
Its just like the Casey Anthony case, what did that little girl do wrong? The fact that Casey got off the hook and didn't face the death penalty is upsetting, Muderers need to me killed so they can no longer harm society.
@sailcats77 Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann are not conservative, to be honest. They are "conservative" in their moral beliefs. But their legislation is not. Perry signed legislation mandating HPV vaccines. That doesn't sound very much like little to no government involvement. Bachmann signed legislation that provided her state with financial benefits. The same benefits she rallied against.
it's interesting that cenk would say there's nothing nefarious about the spread of homeschooling. I mean it's not as bad as capital punishment, but it's still the mass brainwashing of innocent minds.

Like has Bachmann or Perry ever pushed to establish Christianity as the official religion? Have they ever proposed the death penalty for gay people?
There is more than 40%, maybe as high as 45%, of Americans believe the world is about 7,000 years old. There are quite a few members of congress believe this also. I remember watching a senate hearing when one senator, sorry I forget his name, asking a geologist how oil can be found in or near Alaska since oil was formed in the tropics. The poor geologist looked dumb founded at this question, not realizing that this senator believed Earth was only 7,000 years old. Scary?
What I'm asking cheddyrod, is what facts substantiate their assertions that either Bachmann or Perry's elections equate to violating the constitution?
This appears to me as one of the most baseless fear mongering attempts I've seen in a while. I'm just asking for some substantiation about what's claimed. They literally equate Bachmann and Perry to catastrophic world war and end times.

@stdoomsayer Who are you talking about? With so many different sects of christianity and the hundreds of other religions of the world...you're gonna have to narrow it down a bit.
In any case, I don't particularly care, because I'm an atheist. I know better than to believe in nonsensical fairy tales like religion.
ALL RELIGION IS HARMFUL BECAUSE IT SEEKS POWER, CONTROL AND MONEY WHICH CORRUPTS COMPLETELY. NOT TO MENTION THERE IS NO GOD AND THESE EGO MANIACS ARE ALL NUTS.
Religion and politics are belief systems that were created by man for man to keep the rich rich and the poor poor. So what's the next law for the citizen to abide by to extract more money from us so we can pay for the military to kill innocent people. Go to hell all of you. That is not what the average American people stand for.
One thing you realize almost before anything else when reading the Bible is that nearly all Christians are gigantic hypocrites and are usually totally ignorant of the Bible.
@Redfingers I know, I read it cover to cover and it was nothing like I expected it to be, parts of it were ridiculous, parts made me cry for the stupidity inflicted on people, and some of it had a good message. The things people focus on versus the things they ignore makes all the difference.
Christians being sinners is a universal fact, just like any non-Christian. We all come short of God's perfection, so we all need the gift He's given us.
@sailcats77 The teachings of Christ are beside the point.
Give me a level headed athiest, like Cenk for example, over someone like Bachman anyday. She's a terrible person, and is pretty representative of a typical Christian - foolish, unreasonable, judgmental, and hypocritical.
I understand you seem to just be against Christians.
What I'm asking is, is there evidence for what this video presents, that so many on here seem to support? ... the equation of Bachmann and Perry to unconstitutionality, and wanting a catastrophic end of times war.
I'm a Christian. Have I said something here to make you think I'm a terrible person, foolish, unreasonable, judgmental, or hypocritical?
@sailcats77 well said. Insults and profanity often pour out in the absence of concise, well thought out, intelligible debate. I think you've won the debate.
you make a valid point. and it's nice to see a Christian just as disgusted with the craziness. But to think that Bachmann and Perry are level headed and looking out for the best interests of Americans is naive. At best.
Thanks for the first part. Just to clarify, I am indeed disgusted with craziness, but generally only when it's forced on others. I figure people can be as crazy with themselves as they like. That's why I'm in favor of strict constitutionality, and not allowing the fed govt to exceed those limits. Which is why I like Conservatism.
But I'm confused still with why you say Bachmann and Perry aren't level headed or looking out for Americans. Can you give an example how?
Why are the teachings of Christ beside the point? Isn't it reasonable to examine the teachings of that which is claimed to correlate to being terrible, foolish, unreasonable, judgmental and hypocritical?
@Calimantalkin i agree and im christian. the problem is christian leaders have no real understanding off what the bible is all about just like the Islamic radicals, the qu'ran condones 0% of what they are doing right now. So they create this worldwide view of who christian are and it is far from the truth
I am a Jew and none of my family is 'returning' so those christians are going get be disappointed. I also am the anti christ as I do not believe that man was a messiah XD
WOW .. Michele and her followers should never see the light of day any kind of governmental office what so ever ..i mean i know religion has been hand and hand with the US government since its conception but as of right now and in this day in age . has it come down to this.. where some people that are fully convinced and Truly believe in Evangelical christianity that they would try to sacrifice BILLIONS of lives for a few millions to fulfill a prophecy that may or may not be true ..
Lol its funny how Bachmann would go so far into the religious spectrum. Religion and Christianity is a dieing cult even in the Republican Party, she is basically alienating everyone who doesent share her rigid beliefs. I guess we shall see who outnumbers who the crazies or rational people. But I am guessing rational might win this time, especially since she retracted some of that crazy talk and said it was a joke when she heard the publics reaction.
Further more, if they use Leviticus law to judge others, then they are in direct disobidence of Jesus Christ who fulfilled Leviticus law and became the new covenant
@jwdesign336 Do you mean when he said, "I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them"? Because he then says, "Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:19) I'm curious how you reconcile this with what you've said. I apologize if I've misinterpreted you at all.
I'm a christian, and I don't approve of it, God belongs in our personal life, not our government. Trust me when I say that Bochmann or Perry has no idea what it means to be a Christian, based on the entire stories in the new testimate about Jesus helping the poor and sick - completely 100% opposite of the republican agenda. They have ruined what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus. I really want liberals to see this comment, so they don't think all christians are the ones the media shows
As a Christian I am concerned for the people. Everything that's happening is starting to sound like the Crusades during the 11th century. Prosecute anyone who's not Christian and force them to convert or die by the sword. It was a very dark time in history for Christianity and I feel it is going to happen again and Bachmann may be the catalyst.
As a Christian I am rather upset! Why was I not notified of our impending world domination? Do you people know how much planning goes into the subjugation of your fellow man? I have chains to buy, an axe to behead the infidels and blasphemers.... *sigh*
This should have been covered in our secret monthly newsletter!
Everything you can imagine comes from the mind of man. You never know where your thoughts come from or where they go, we just collect them. Bachman needs a mind wash.
Michele Bachmann = 666 using A=6 B=12 C=18 ect. Rick Perry is an illuminati globalist puppet who killed the anti TSA groping bill in texas & LIED about it, forced Gardasil vaccines on texas girls resulting in numerous deaths... Now your telling me they are christians... You guys are idiots. I suppose next you'll be saying Bin Laden was a Christian too huh? You guys and your daily beast 666 witch are disgusting. Ive seen you guys act like prayer was creepy before too, morons...
If it's a lie that this country was founded on Christian principles, then whey did the founders sign a document that stated we are endowed by our "creator." It doesn't say we are endowed by our monkey ancestors. Atheists want to come from monkeys but they don't want to be treated like monkeys. Makes no sense to anyone.
@Standonarock "our creator" isn't synonymous with Jesus. Your creator could just mean your mother for all you know. We didn't come from monkeys either, monkeys are our cousins. Our line split from a common ancestor we shared with the modern African ape some 8 million years ago.
@Standonarock A creator does not immediately mean "the christian creator". The theory of evolution did not exist back in 1776, so there was no viable alternative to theism, so they all believed that there was a god, and quite a few of them did not really believe in the christian god, only that there might be some kind of god out there.
@dangerouslytalented that's all the theory of evolution is, just theories that change everyday, however, the bible's story is concrete and constant weather you believe it or not, it never changes.
@jwdesign336 which means that the bible cannot adapt no matter how much it is disproven.
The main ideas of evolution have not been changing, because they fit with reality. There is some disagreement with minor things, like where in the phylogenetic tree certain organisms are, but that's prettyh minor.
funny how these rebels, guys who wrote a pretty radical constitution calling for a mixture of allll sorts of things that other govts really didn't want anyone to see.. yeah those guys all the sudden got sneaky and really wanted a Christian Nation but they didn't want to stamp it all over the document. most or all other govts had official religions. that was the norm. if they had wanted an official religion they had no reason not to put it in black and white. explain that.
@supersummersalts That is why we have comment boards, so we can discuss these things, maybe you should make a video response with how YOU would combat this.
@dangerouslytalented That's just the thing, I don't know how to combat this. I vote but here in texas the way the district are set up it almost impossible to vote in someone that is not bat shit crazy. TYT interviews always have experts on that know these issues inside and out. I'm sure that they don't just complain about the problems but they also have ways that people can fight back, but they never say what they are and they are never asked.
@alteredbeasts It would be the same if Obama's father had written a book about taking over the government and placing a theocracy in place. Bachman's father was a radical anti-abortionist and decided the government needed to be taken over because democracy led to Roe vs Wade and secularism and liberalism was going to destroy the Christian way of life. They package their Christian ideals in political talking points to create a confusion about the separation of church and state.
@alteredbeasts The big difference, is that Obama does not contribute to what Wright says, and what Wright says is not as fucked up as what Bachmann herself has been quoted as saying.
@Guardsmen248: LOL ... hilarious when a lefty screams "separation of church & state!" Lefties are too stupid to understand the meaning. Jefferson is responsible for that quote. Jefferson also said he trembled for the United States who may one day remove God from our founding governing principles.
"It is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers" - John Jay, 1st Chief Supreme Court Justice of the U.S
@PerryRubio2012 Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice can not sleep forever: that considering numbers, nature and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation is among possible events: that it may become probable by supernatural interference!
Jefferson did coin the phrase Wall of Separation between church and state, he didn't say what you say he did.
John Jay was a devout Anglican so of course he felt that way he wasn't a deist like Jefferson. I read he tried to make a law banning Catholics from public office while working in the provincial congress, so he clearly didn't understand the separation of church and state, or hold it as a principle, but Jefferson did, and that's why he put the establishment clause in the constitution and because of confusion went on to clarify what he meant and coined the phrase separation of church and state.
@PerryRubio2012 The separation of church and state is meant to protect both religious people and unreligious people from those who "speak for god" and want to take full control.
And it becomes even more important when there is no god at all.
I remember when the Cold War ended, and I express my happness to my Grandma, and she expressed her sadness, because she was hoping to live to see the end of time. She died in 1998, that was the end of her time. I mite die tomorrow, and that will be the end of my time. I am surrounded by nuts who want to see the four horseman of the apocalypse. I guess that is why they see works of fiction like Harry Potter, and say it's the devils work, because their whole lives are based on fiction.
So the Christian right isn't usually violent, sure, but they actively support warmongering politicians, promote legislation that forcefully incarcerates non-violent drug offenders (who then experience prison violence), and elect politicians who divert resources from the poor and hungry to the rich and powerful. It's a non-violent assault on equity and justice, precisely the way Jesus led his life and commanded in the Bible, right?
@manonthemount i find it highly ironic how u refer to christianity as a myth yet proceed to make up these imginary writers of a christian fable, Pot Meet Kettle
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels[c] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
@IronRangeSurvival Atheism is the rejection of a god clam. Nothing more, nothing less. You're talking about the big bang which has nothing to do with faith. We are not entirely sure what there was before the big bang, we do have some theory but that's about it.

Religion and politics are belief systems that were created by man for man to keep the rich rich and the poor poor. So what's the next law for the citizen to abide by to extract more money from us so we can pay for the military to kill innocent people. Go to hell all of you. That is not what the average American people stand for.

Anybody else notice that the most extreme christians are not very much like Christ?
Calimantalkin 6 months ago 58
@Calimantalkin
I don't just notice it, I call them out on it all the time.
For instance, Google these and share them with your right wing friends...
Mark 10:21
Matthew 6
Romans 13
Matthew 19:3-12
One thing you realize almost before anything else when reading the Bible is that nearly all Christians are gigantic hypocrites and are usually totally ignorant of the Bible.
Redfingers 6 months ago
@Redfingers I know, I read it cover to cover and it was nothing like I expected it to be, parts of it were ridiculous, parts made me cry for the stupidity inflicted on people, and some of it had a good message. The things people focus on versus the things they ignore makes all the difference.
Calimantalkin 6 months ago
@Calimantalkin
No one is very much like Christ, my friend.
Christians being sinners is a universal fact, just like any non-Christian. We all come short of God's perfection, so we all need the gift He's given us.

@Exupery1976
lol yeah we actually are, but not because we're Christians. Non Christians are just as nasty.
Consider the teachings of Christ... Can you find anything wrong with them?
sailcats77 6 months ago
@sailcats77 The teachings of Christ are beside the point.
Give me a level headed athiest, like Cenk for example, over someone like Bachman anyday. She's a terrible person, and is pretty representative of a typical Christian - foolish, unreasonable, judgmental, and hypocritical.
Exupery1976 6 months ago
@Exupery1976
I understand you seem to just be against Christians.
What I'm asking is, is there evidence for what this video presents, that so many on here seem to support? ... the equation of Bachmann and Perry to unconstitutionality, and wanting a catastrophic end of times war.
I'm a Christian. Have I said something here to make you think I'm a terrible person, foolish, unreasonable, judgmental, or hypocritical?
sailcats77 6 months ago
@sailcats77 well said. Insults and profanity often pour out in the absence of concise, well thought out, intelligible debate. I think you've won the debate.
charms71 6 months ago
@sailcats77
you make a valid point. and it's nice to see a Christian just as disgusted with the craziness. But to think that Bachmann and Perry are level headed and looking out for the best interests of Americans is naive. At best.
kristinaoleta 6 months ago
@kristinaoleta
Can you give an example how?
sailcats77 6 months ago
Why are the teachings of Christ beside the point? Isn't it reasonable to examine the teachings of that which is claimed to correlate to being terrible, foolish, unreasonable, judgmental and hypocritical?

Lol its funny how Bachmann would go so far into the religious spectrum. Religion and Christianity is a dieing cult even in the Republican Party, she is basically alienating everyone who doesent share her rigid beliefs. I guess we shall see who outnumbers who the crazies or rational people. But I am guessing rational might win this time, especially since she retracted some of that crazy talk and said it was a joke when she heard the publics reaction.

Standonarock 6 months ago
@Standonarock
You say "Makes no sense to anyone". There, there. I get that it's a bit hard for you, lol.
patrickcorliss 6 months ago
@Standonarock "our creator" isn't synonymous with Jesus. Your creator could just mean your mother for all you know. We didn't come from monkeys either, monkeys are our cousins. Our line split from a common ancestor we shared with the modern African ape some 8 million years ago.
PossessDismiss 6 months ago 2
@Standonarock A creator does not immediately mean "the christian creator". The theory of evolution did not exist back in 1776, so there was no viable alternative to theism, so they all believed that there was a god, and quite a few of them did not really believe in the christian god, only that there might be some kind of god out there.
dangerouslytalented 6 months ago 2
@dangerouslytalented that's all the theory of evolution is, just theories that change everyday, however, the bible's story is concrete and constant weather you believe it or not, it never changes.
jwdesign336 6 months ago
@jwdesign336 which means that the bible cannot adapt no matter how much it is disproven.
The main ideas of evolution have not been changing, because they fit with reality. There is some disagreement with minor things, like where in the phylogenetic tree certain organisms are, but that's prettyh minor.
dangerouslytalented 6 months ago
@Standonarock
funny how these rebels, guys who wrote a pretty radical constitution calling for a mixture of allll sorts of things that other govts really didn't want anyone to see.. yeah those guys all the sudden got sneaky and really wanted a Christian Nation but they didn't want to stamp it all over the document. most or all other govts had official religions. that was the norm. if they had wanted an official religion they had no reason not to put it in black and white. explain that.

@dangerouslytalented That's just the thing, I don't know how to combat this. I vote but here in texas the way the district are set up it almost impossible to vote in someone that is not bat shit crazy. TYT interviews always have experts on that know these issues inside and out. I'm sure that they don't just complain about the problems but they also have ways that people can fight back, but they never say what they are and they are never asked.
supersummersalts 6 months ago
I love TYT, but this interview seems eerily close to Fox News bashing Obama over Rev. Wright. Am I trippin?
alteredbeasts 6 months ago
@alteredbeasts The difference here is that Obama doesn't advocate the things Reverend Wright says in any of his books.
Bachmann and Perry on the other hand... they support it, and are FIGURES in it.
EziekielNightwind 6 months ago
@alteredbeasts It would be the same if Obama's father had written a book about taking over the government and placing a theocracy in place. Bachman's father was a radical anti-abortionist and decided the government needed to be taken over because democracy led to Roe vs Wade and secularism and liberalism was going to destroy the Christian way of life. They package their Christian ideals in political talking points to create a confusion about the separation of church and state.
jw12yrsctch 6 months ago
@alteredbeasts The big difference, is that Obama does not contribute to what Wright says, and what Wright says is not as fucked up as what Bachmann herself has been quoted as saying.

Guardsmen248 6 months ago
@Guardsmen248: LOL ... hilarious when a lefty screams "separation of church & state!" Lefties are too stupid to understand the meaning. Jefferson is responsible for that quote. Jefferson also said he trembled for the United States who may one day remove God from our founding governing principles.
"It is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers" - John Jay, 1st Chief Supreme Court Justice of the U.S

@PerryRubio2012 Conservifag spotted!!! lol bad troll bro.....
Guardsmen248 6 months ago
@PerryRubio2012 Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice can not sleep forever: that considering numbers, nature and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation is among possible events: that it may become probable by supernatural interference!
Jefferson did coin the phrase Wall of Separation between church and state, he didn't say what you say he did.
Justwosweet 6 months ago
John Jay was a devout Anglican so of course he felt that way he wasn't a deist like Jefferson. I read he tried to make a law banning Catholics from public office while working in the provincial congress, so he clearly didn't understand the separation of church and state, or hold it as a principle, but Jefferson did, and that's why he put the establishment clause in the constitution and because of confusion went on to clarify what he meant and coined the phrase separation of church and state.
Justwosweet 6 months ago
@Justwosweet lol kinda peters out at the end there =P I'm sure you catch my drift.
Justwosweet 6 months ago
@PerryRubio2012 The separation of church and state is meant to protect both religious people and unreligious people from those who "speak for god" and want to take full control.
And it becomes even more important when there is no god at all.
dangerouslytalented 6 months ago
