I never sat through this movie, but I'm pretty sure the point was that the father was never actually wild, and so had no hunting skill, etc.? The lies are the cause of his son running away in the first place. That said, realistically, the character would be unsure of himself, which by default would make his blows weaker, even if he were equally muscled with wild male lions. Still somewhat unrealistic, because wildebeest instinctively run, but not as ridiculous.

Of course a Disney movie is going to look way better than some show on TV. TV productions have much smaller budgets, much tighter deadlines, and fewer people working on them. They might only have one month to animate and render a scene whereas a Disney production takes years.

I disagree. The point of Animal Face-off isn't to convince people that these are genuine battles or anything, but rather what the outcomes of those battles are. As long as the facts are straight, in terms of general size and strength of each creature, then the graphics don't matter.

The purpose of animal face-off is trying to inform people on the supposedly outcome of these fights. The problem is even the facts are not that accurate, the general size of many animals are also not accurate. For example, a 500lb tiger(average) was to fight a 1800lb brown bear(largest brown bear ever recorded).
