hard to respond to this critically. the playing is so good. not like the hendrix rip offs; just really nice renditions of beck's classics. i hear the difference in tone and attack, and that unquantifiable thing: "feeling". it's like a pianist's different take on Bach, & points out the quality of Beck's covers and originals. of course we can't know but i think in 500 years musicologists will be discussing Beck's approach to the elec. guitar as we talk about Bach and his interpreters now.

@grawgydawg his tone and attack are a little softer and relaxed. less "screechy". it makes it a little easier and more pleasant to hear (for some!). not a criticism of the revolutionary genius Beck. just my response to this comment.

@1ocd This little Laney reproduces the sound of your fingers. I tested it - it has blown me away. If you suck, Laney Lionheart tone sucks. Greetings

@1ocd We don't know what else is in the signal chain, and we don't know what was done in post-production...I own a Laney and you can definitely get a tone like this from such an amp.

its an "external pickup" for synth sounds from pedals like Roland GR-20. Snyth sounds that wouldn't get in an ordinary guitar sounding. hope this helps/.
