  • My dream job

  • What's unfortunate is that long lines are illegal in many countries but very few enforce it, or are getting paid off by these industries to ignore the fact that it's still going on. I'm guessing part of the reason why the Bahamas has a healthier (unfortunately there's no such thing as a healthy) shark population than anywhere else in the world is because of the growing interest in swimming with sharks, which makes it worth the effort to keep them alive.

  • When I finished watching this video I wondered Can the nature be so beautiful like this!!

  • I can not understand. help me please. please Summarize to me...

  • I've just started to think about majoring in marine biology after watching this stunning video. Brian Skerry is a hero!:D

  • I wonder if he realizes that he game everyone the middle finger as he began to mention 'global warming'...?

  • @jroach96 You've got to be kidding me?

  • @DontBotherTETRiS Well, did he not?

  • I admire National Geographic.

  • Brian Skerry is AWESOME and my hero of the day,the world needs many many more people like him to open theyre fucking eyes to the horror we are reighning down all over this planet and we have even managed to pollute space ,,CONGRADULATIONS EARTHLINGS.......NOW YOU MUST DIE!!!

  • if only every human watched this video...

  • I think I just clapped out loud after watching it, in the office while slacking away. LOL

  • As a new zealand dive instructor/divemaster working on the poor knights islands and diving on the unprotected coast there is no question in my mind that we need change and soon. in 1 year i have seen kelp beds go from full healthy forests to bare rock hundreds of meters in all direction. thanks for the video i hope we can make a difference.

  • im getting an underwater camera soon!! great vid btw!!

  • I found this to be a compelling and insightful view, sadly a view ignored by those that are empowered to make the changes necessary to bring about vital conservation to avoid the total collapse of the fish stocks. I can't imagine in my life time looking out over our beautiful oceans and seeing a giant cesspit. Thank you for this upload I hope it will stir many comments and thanks to Brian Skerry for his adventurous spirit without his contribution we will never be aware of degradation of the deep

  • THEY CLUB THESE BABY SEALS

  • i clapped!!! when i grow up i want to help the ocean and places where people hunt animals

  • Amazing...this is the only video in youtube that i didnt skip any part and watched the entire video..

  • Thumbs up if Brian Skerry reminds you of Steve Carell.

  • @undergirl0714

i'm sure you would love to document that :)

  • NUDIBRANCH!! <3

  • Finally a National Geographic video i can watch in Canada.

  • fuck commercial fisherman... i say if you wanna eat a fish ... you should have to go catch it yourself.

  • @uramag7 That's looking at it the wrong way. Commercial fishing is fine in MODERATION. There's no way to stop it as a whole. What needs to be done is only buy fish to eat that are not in danger or are being over-fished. This would create less demand and so less supply would be made, and the fish would be able to prosper again. Just don't buy fish that are being over-fished.

  • beautifuls photographs! nationalgeographic the best!

  • I think national geographic is the best cannel in the wole world! watching one day without break , you learn more than to be on school one week streached

  • @juicyapple1000 You learn more about nothing

  • @Ramirezr16 and going to school is about learning to learn? at least its a relevant topic that makes students aware and critically think.

  • @juicyapple1000 i totally agree with you, they have to change the school system, its crap!

  • @juicyapple1000 i know they should stop school and send some cd's about national geographic

  • @juicyapple1000 Too bad it doesn't teach grammar skills :P

  • Those photographs were beautiful! I hope everyone can learn ocean conservation and we can make a difference. =)

  • Type MYPRIZE instead of YOU in youtube and hit enter

  • The conservation of the sea has always been a HUGE passion of mine... It's such a shame we are harming our the ocean so much.

  • @meaning1 Its also a shame what we do on land with over 50% of rain forest destroyed while we log, burn, mine and coal an area twice the size of Florida every year. All to fuel a lifestyle of consumerism that we maintain on the backs and resources of 3rd world nations. Couple that with ridiculous amounts of pollution continuously being produced due to consumerism lifestyles. And frankly ill be surprised if we aren't destroying ourselves over the earths last resources within another 100 years.

  • whats it going to take? the end of us all.

  • 37:58?! So damn long...
