Man i played this boss so much i memorized how to dodge all his shots depending on where he was located on screen but i never did it undamaged always he hit me 1 time. Now im gonna go and try it again!

Friend just told me about this on Ventrilo. Please, this video is a disgrace to those of us who have done this on the console. If you are going to play a game using emulator tools to make it look like you are doing the same thing, please at least label your videos as such. Some of us actually do this sort of thing legitimately.

Confirmed by the author of this video -- it was created using an emulator, not recorded directly from console. That is, it was made by playing the game one frame at a time. You can even see him using rapidfire.

There are players who have actually done this on console. See 247BigDog's MM7 walkthrough finale for a demonstration of a damage-free Wily fight that was actually played instead of "created" with an emulator. IJS.

@danw330 I did not play it one frame at a time, but yes I did employ the use of a rapid-fire button. (There are rapid fire controllers for the SNES, so I figured it was fair game.)

Not meaning to brag but I've done this too... It's damn hard at first but when you learn the pattern he's not that hard, just very tedious. Still the hardest megaman boss I know of, took me damn long to beat him the first time. Great job!

Wily is pretty easy to defeat once you figure out his attack pattern. All you need is patience. However, great job, Lethras. I really enjoyed all of your videos. :)

As much as I loved the NES Mega Man games, this one, in my opinion, sucked. Play control wasn't as sharp, more of a kiddy theme, and the soundtrack is forgettable. At least with Mega Man 9 we're going back to the good ol' NES days!

I usually go Kamakaze with the Freeze Cracker. Because the Freeze Cracker is the only weapon to hit Wily twice in some situations. But this works too I guess. Excellent Job!!

SCAM!!! I counted at least FIVE times where the shot went right though Mega Man himself and didn't damage him. Watch for it at 2:21, 3:25, 5:35, 5:44, 6:35... I dunno about anyone else, but these shots are so touchy that if they graze you, you're toast. Why isn't that happening here? See for yourself. Two words: GAME SHARK.

Actually, a lot of games can make you be able to touch something and not get hurt. Like in Kirby's Adventure, One of Kirby's pixles can be on the enemy. In Super Mario Bros when you fight Birdo, a couple of your pixles go on her. And a lot more.

I hate that last battle... so annoying. I recently did the buster challenge with this game. Slash Man and Dr Wily's 2nd form were the only ones that gave me trouble. That battle takes foreverrr!
