  • my $0.02. I didn't use an impact wrench, just a 7/8 wrench and a hammer (also in reverse to re-install). I also used liquid soap to install the new tire and tube instead of having a shop do it, a little cheaper but a little more work.

  • Good job. Thanks for the help.

  • hey craig,

just bought one today. needs new tires and was seeing if you could give me tips on how to keep it nice,

  • @supcuz1985 I cannot give you much advise, but it would be wise to purchase a repair manual. At least check, and change the oil every 1,000 miles. I never changed the front tire yet.

  • usefull info!, now I'll tackle this on my spree!

  • Thanks so much!... Saved me a bundle and it was sooooo easy... Aaron

  • I have a 94' elite. I followed your great video directions for accessing back tire only to notice printed on the rim, "tubeless tire accommitable". I could have used tubeless tires? Installing new tires and tubes was quite challanging. (Hard lesson learned) If you want to keep your rims looking their best, have your tire professionally mounted. Craig, thank you so much for your "video classroom." Really helped this visual learner.

  • @fiertruk I dont know if you could use tubeless tires. I just used a tubed tire which the scooter was originally equipped with. With tubeless tires i imagine the bead of the rim would have to be specifically designed to prevent leaks, and a valve stem installed which the rim never had. Having the tire mounted professionally not only makes the rim look better. It is also safer for you.

  • Great methodical work. I heard the ice cream truck.

  • @Ajaces the ice cream truck has been playing Music Box Dancer by Frank Mills lately

  • that thing must get really great mileage

  • ya i did not finish the video before i comment on the video sorry

  • That's a lot of work to change a tire, but I wouldn't mind having one of these.

  • I just got in for repair a 1979 Honda Express Scoter. And thats alot of work to change a tire

  • You should check the rear bracks well the wheel is off

  • @redneckbryon the rear brakes are fine

  • what are u going to do with the old tires? i have one thats a chinaesse one and i need new tires.

  • @coolmdog55 for the price of the tires its easier, and safer to buy them from ebay brand new. Besides my tires were wayyy unsafe.

  • Great job Craig! Can you imagine how much that would cost if you had to take it to the shop???

  • Cool video.

  • nice scooter man, are are you the original owner? Looks in mint condition!

  • @stevensj13 no i am not the original owner. I bought it with 536 miles from the second owner.
