The books tab didn't show up on mine i have iOS 4 and iTunes 10.3.1 and iBooks on my iPod and i synced them :(

@jacob7ism Open your iTunes and click on the "iTunes" menu at the top left next to apple logo and choose "preferences" and there you can click and enable all the features you want to display on the iTunes sidebar!

I dont have a ebook option in this itunes software I just setup

and its complicated and unuserfriendly IMO total opposite of the ipad I just bought.. apple is weird :P

Actually I pay nothing because my company pay for everything. Even my iMac 27 inch i7 with full customized was a gift from my company. It's Japan so anything is possible. In Japan if you buy a software you can get it more cheaper because of their point system.

and for those that dont know how to get the Books tab in iTunes... just press Ctrl+O (Add file to Library...) and select from your computer the pdf file you want to add... at least thats the way in works on my windows7... good luck!!!

Everything did not work. I cannot find books on iphone even though it synched them. Where are they?

First you should have installed ibooks apps which is free in your iPhone. Then connect you iPhone to iTunes and open the books category then drag and drop or import PDF files or your eBooks here then choose the book you want to sync to your iPhone after that press sync button after syncing is completed open your iBook app from you iPhone and then you can see your books are there on the shelf. If you can't see still make sure that your are on the main screen not in store view.
