  • I like too much this song to put a stupid commentary, I just love it :3

  • Out of the Blue was ELO's best album hands down! :) Love it!

  • John Lennon called ELO Beatles Junior. lol I can frequently hear Lennon in Jeff's voice. Great stuff.

  • It is wonderful! ELO 4ever!!

  • I was 11 years old(in the late '70

) mine dad had the album .it was magic all of mine friends where into disco, they couldn't understand this magical music...

  • Another Beatle-esque tune. Sounds like it's from Abbey Road.

  • i remember the first time i heard this song, as alot of people have said it sums up moving on with life.

the last big move i had was going back to university and moving back to my old home city, this song reminded me of this. dunno where i'm going, gonna see the world, gonna be somebody, dunno where i'm going, i'm stepping out

    peace out to y'all

  • Perfectly sums up the apprehension and anticipation I had when leaving home (the negative concepts in the song describe that very accurately) to go to university. Only difference was I knew where I was going; I just didn't know what I was going to find.

  • Most of "musicians" these days don't even know what vocoder was... f-you auto-tune...

  • Pure Genius....I've loved ELO since the 70's and I never grow tired of it. No body like Jeff Lynn.

  • "Don't know where I'm goin...gonna see the world....gonna be somebody...don't know where I'm goin....I'm just steppin' out". One of my favorite parts of any of their incredible songs.

  • This takes me back to when I had my first car my whole life was in front of me I was stepping out and didn't know where I was going.

  • In my Top 5 of all ELO's superb tracks

  • SO if all you ppl who love ELO are out there why do i never meet you? this music is supernatural and those drawn to it are very special people. comming here i dont feel so alone now.

  • I've always wondered why this didn't become one of their really great ones..The notes in harmony when he sings "like a rolling stone" is simply incredible.

  • ich liebe diesen titel

  • ich auch!

  • move on life is ever changing-thanks ELO this song cracks me up-going to see my friend in OZ he loved this song

  • one of the best

  • I reall love this whole album. All the songs are great.

  • I had this put in as my Graduation Quote in the Yearbook. Another 10 years from now, it'll carry as much meaning as when I wanted it put in.

  • i'm stepping out.....i'm moving on...like a rolling stone....wonderful. Thank you ELO for the music, memories and for being there :)

  • @paulhereford I'm wondering if Lynn knows how much his fans love him.

  • Lovely tune, very under rated.

    Kilmarnock

    Ayrshire

  • simply awesome, one of the most under rated tunes of all time, the lyrics says it all..eh...thanx for posting....goud

  • This tune breaks my heart...

  • this song is about re-invention and re-birth. staring anew, and getting on to the next phase of ur life, and not letting things or people from ur past drag u down. i've needed it in several parts of my life. thanks elo!

  • Kelly Groucutt has stepped out. We will miss him. ELO was/is still one off the greatest ever.

    Guys you were/are great!!!

Thanks for such touching and beautifull music.

My first record of ELO was Out Off The Blue. After 30 years, I still enjoy it as much as I did the first time i bought the record.

    Superband!!!!!!!

  • wonderful

  • Hard to pick fav ELO tune, to me this is just one of many songs that i never want to hear end...I love them to death

  • Sure I LOVE all songs of ELO. But this is so underestemated and AWESOME: But you have to listen to believe me now and steppin' out one after the other for perfect music...

WHAT A VOICE!! JEFF you still rock!!!

    Kay

  • I used to play this on my stereo every day just before heading off to work at Offutt A.F.B. during the Spring of 1981.

Ahh, the world was still so full of promises back then. With age comes disappointment, pragmatism and, if you're not very vigilant, extreme cynicism.

  • I love this song, it's soft and perfect.

  • no comments from anyone-whats going on!!!-possibly ELOs best ever track???-is there anybody out there agree??

  • God, don't make me pick faves...ELO is just perfect! I like it all, including this one

  • thanks mate-good shout

  • This, Jungle, and Sweet Talkin' Woman

  • @bernieplop

Together with across the border is this one of the best of ELO

I grew up with them. They are still the best.
