There are plenty of theory's on the Guardian angel , but i believe she is just somthing made my hyperion (Even though it seems ridicioulous) because first off it has hyperion on it some people think that mabye the guardian has just hacked on to the satelite but if you notice it says 4N631 Which in 1337 terms is Angel. (and im pretty sure hackers dont have the ability to slab paint on the things they hack Lol.)

I understand why she wants the player to destroy said creature, but if the player opened the vault, wouldn't he/she be the one to get stabbed by the destroyer? Also, does the "Interplanetary" part of the CL4P-TP's description mean that a DLC or Borderlands 2 contain a different planet for exploration?

In my playthrough, I killed the boss by shooting the bone-thing above its mouth, but a similar thing for some people happened when I got to the ending cutscene.

Thanks for posting the video, I thought there was a bug in my game or something. Very unpolished ending. As a single player I just stood in the same spot, no cover, and just shot up it's mouth took less than a minute.

More of a portal than a vault really...

Hope they put more effort into the sequel.

I fought this thing, it was a fun battle. But fucking Christ almighty I was pissed when I just got some random loot from the fight. And then I got a big fat paycheck from Tannis, and I can't even spend it on anything because there's nothing worth getting. Fuck the storymode.

The story has themes of the Gold Rush, where the real winners were the outfitters. Markus? (the gun retailer) told us in the beginning of the game that "this is a story about some kiddos who grow up with the stories and become vault hunters, but the story is really about...me." I wasn't expecting to find a vault full of alien guns, it's too simple of an ending, there had to be a twist to it. And now that Pandora's box is open, it all makes sense.

I think the majority of the people that played this game didn't bother to follow the storyline and just went on a huge weapon grind fest. If you read the ECHO quest status during the destroyer fight, the angel states that she is able to see the past and the future, and already knew that the vault would be opened. She downright admits that she lied to you in order to get you to stop the destroyer. The vault is no more than an inter-dimensional prison to keep The Destroyer inside.

The Destroyer is immortal in it's own dimension, but once it comes to our realm, it needs a host, or a body to survive, thus making it mortal. By defeating it, it weakens to the state that it takes 200 years for it to regain it's strength again. The Eridians were sacrificed their race to keep The Destroyer locked inside the prison, with only the few guardians left to keep people from going in.

If you look at the end cutscene with the satellite closely, you can see that the satellite that the Guardian Angel is speaking from was created by the Hyperion Corporation. If you look even closer, the serial number says 4N631. or "Angel". This leads us to think that the Hyperion Corporation was created by the alien race in order to lead a chosen crusader(s) to stop The Destroyer from coming out every 200 years.

During the course of the 200 years, the key is sold, resold, lost, and becomes a legend, where most of the time treasure gets added into the mix. Then somebody comes along that The Guardian Angel sees fit to stop the future Destroyer from destroying our world and leads them on a crusade to find the keys, leading them to believe that treasure and wealth will be waiting at the end, but keeping from them the truth: that they are the only hope to save our world.

yes you start a second playthrough. and this feels like the biggest letdown in videogame history. they built up the vault throughout the whole game and then we never see it or get anything. great gameplay but too bad they couldnt work in a good plot, which is pretty essential for RPGs.
