James Brown on Working Clean!

James Brown is number one. But his emphasis on "clean" lyrics and performing is a little curious. There was a space of about 10 years when released some very provocative, frankly adult recordings. I love them all but his live "Hot Pants" from that time, is definitely NOT for the whole family.

He did tone things down and make some more melodious music.

Either way - a genius............

Also, Prince has demonstrated selling out on more than one occasion don't act as if he hasn't. MJ's music, though, expanded on the Motown ideology of having an accessible sound for everyone. Additionally, no you do NOT know what kind of music Mozart would be creating today. He was considered to be a pop star in his day and age as well.

The cbs albums 'Triumph' and 'Destiny' (with the exception of one song), was written and produced by the Jacksons entirely. Michael had a large input on these albums. He has always been about quality, not quantity. He would spend years going through 100's of songs, before agreeing on the final cuts.

Besides Michael has other albums apart from 'Thriller'. He wrote 9 out of 11 tracks on 'Bad'.

Not everything is so calculated. Michael was inspired by many people-past and present. Just look at the way that people reacted o Michael when James brown brought him onstage in '83, compared to Prince.
