  • How does it compare to AquaC EV240?

  • I am thinking of getting the XP 5000 as well for my 180g. Better too big then too small, i say.

  • thanks

  • I would say for my fairly heavily stocked 180 its a tad to big and the 3000 woulda been a better fit.

  • thanks,

some people say the 5000 is to big for my tank that's why i'm asking.

I'm not sure wich one to buy yet.

    Vic

  • @BIGVIC555 no nothing is too big

only nitrate filters can be too big

skimmer are too big if the skimmer is more

bigger than 6000,litre size one. plus bigger skimmer

the more waste and more quicker it will do job by

  • I own it. Its installed on my pretty heavily stocked 180g. As for skimmer rating id say its almost over sized for my tank it would probably be a good fit for ur 300g. So far i couldnt be happier with the skimmer

Hi, I'm planning to buy one of these skimmers for my 180 and wanted to know if your still happy with it? I am not sure witch to get the 5000 or the 3000.

    thanks,

    Vic

  • @BIGVIC555

Its a well built skimmer with a great warranty. I couldnt be happier with it.

  • I'm looking for a new external skimmer. Do you own this or is this a company promo?

It says its rated for 400 gallons, I have 300 but it does not specify stocking like most skimmers.

ie. Heavy 200 gallon, Medium - 300 gallon

    light - 400 gallon.

  • Can we see another video of the results of the skimmer now that its a littlemore broke in? I am going to order one and am interested in further results.
