@yamahonkawazuki I stand corrected on the Cirrus Jet. It was previously my understanding that it had been cancelled, but it looks as though they are still moving ahead with it.
@MafiaGENGTEAM1970 No, they don't. This one uses the PW 615 along with the Citation Mustang. The HondaJet will have the GE HF120 engine. Even this airplane's big brother, the Eclipse 500, uses the PW610. The only VLJs that even attempted to use the FJ33 were the Cirrus jet and the Diamond jet, and neither of those made it to production.
I'm not sure, but I'm starting to like the looks of the new Piper Jet, the Altaire. Whole new design, and Garmin 3000. 360ktas@FL350 and a flexible, large cabin. Supposedly, one can actually have a potty/extra seat/flexible space due to the larger cabin diameter they've got now. Let's see one fly @ advertised price&performance. If the projections are right, looks like the TBM has some real competition. I hope Piper can really pull this one off, without compromises or increased costs!
@pk5887 Roger that. I guess I'm impressed with the TBM 850 w/320ktas, and would expect a (single) jet to have just a bit more--maybe 375ktas? I dunno, I suppose I'd like to see the jet go faster than the propster !!
ok this aircraft just looks no good for its price. look at our small it is! you could maybe put a cat in the back and plus eclipse went bankrupt so if you break a major part on your aircraft your screwed!
@cupcakekevin277 what you want for 1,3mil. dollars? you can land whit it on any small airport and it has much more space than some sportscar for that price
@patko1610 why would you pay that much for a car? you could get a good car for average price and then still have money for the jet your comment doesnt make much sense so i dont know if im answering it right
@cupcakekevin277 well yeah thats true but the this plane for the price you get here is pretty much enought i can see your point and yses youve apsolutley right it need more space but for price its enought
@patko1610 ok yea its cheap but just a little to much for what space it provides i understand what you mean though maybe if they added two more seats?
@lecomte57 The jet just looks so small in the video. Not trying to get in an argument.. Just stating my opinion. A typical Learjet engine produces about 3700 lbs thrust per engine. Does this plane have a Pratt & Whitney PW615F or a Pratt & Whitney PW600 engine? Because they both only produce less than 1700 lbs thrust... See what I'm sayin? A Learjet has around 7400 lbs thrust total. This plane- 1400+- around 200.

@Beamernator Well lets see now....The PW Canada 615F engine produces 1,200 lbf to for an aircraft of 4480 lbs MTOW. This gives a thrust to weight ratio of 0.26. The Boeing 737-800 has an MTOW of 187,700 lbs wih 2 CFM56-7 engines of 27,300 lbf each giving a T/W ratio of 0.29. So basically....'bout the same as a 737.
I have a friend who ordered one of the larger eclipse jets(I think it's called the Eclipse 500) to replace his 421, but the company went out of business like you said. So he lost all of the money he put down.
Most VLJ's are slower than most business jets. People need to realise that VLJ's are designed to fill the gap between 6-8 seater twin engine props, and business jets.
They are not designed to deliver the same type of performance that one would expect from your average business jet. Hence the much lower purchase cost.
Does your plane fly at 41,000 feet? I didn't think so... BTW are you going a bit quick for your Mooney? Even the turbo normalised ones maximum speed was like 250kts or something. Long range cruise on this is 290 and max cruise is 330. I wonder what VNE is? Ii dont think they have said yet... it would be interesting to know.
Oh and climb rate is 2000 feet per minute - nice!
yeah you're piper cherokee also has problems of reaching 90 knots into the wind haha. jk cherokee's are incredible planes but you shouldn't diss this plane it's incredible, just leave the fat bitches behind
actually thats "full fuel payload" meaning if you fill the fuel tanks to full, you can put 580 pounds of people and baggage in the seats.
Thats pretty good compared to other single jet airplanes (and quite a few piston engine airplanes) but since the company has gone out of business I guess it is a moot point:-(
eclipse just bumped the price of the 500 by $450,000 to try to to not go broke....its not working so hot. they are being forced to return a LOT of deposits, and basically using the fact that people are jumping ship on the extra half mil for the 500 to push the 400
yea i and in between either the eclipse 400 or the Epic Victory. i like how this plane has a higher service cielling and a little higher speed but i dont like the joystick i would rather use a yoke which the Epic Victory has. also i dont really like the look of the forward swept wing of the 400. plus the Victory is under 1 milion.
i like the eclipse 500 and i am glad they shook the elitist aircraft companies. But i don't think i can swallow this plane yet... looks like a piperjet with a brain tumor.

MAx cruise 330KT? Doesnt sound like much compared to other little jets (twins of course).
