HD historically has not helped anybody. Look here in South FL, WTVJ has rated horribly since NBC bought them in 1988 (worse and worse as time went on), they are the first Miami station to go HD and that hasn't helped them. In fact their ratings have since declined further as have many NBC affiliates. I dont think any of the NBC O&Os are #1. WMAQ has seen decline in viewers. WFOR CBS 4, the CBS O&O here isnt HD here yet either, i dunno why WBBM and WFOR arent HD yet, most other CBS O&Os are.
WMAQ will be going back to the new and improved Studio 5 next Wednesday, so maybe they will have new graphics by then. I've heard that they will be getting a graphics update pretty soon.
Boy the fudged up there with both music packages playing at once. Their music and set sucks. It doesn't fit well. No wonder they are last in the ratings.
i dont really get the hype about WMAQ also. IF they are so great why arent they #1? I mention it over and OVER. NBC has an awful line up of TV shows and have horrible ratings on nearly everything except their news and late night (minus dateline which is last of all news magazines). Because of this, most NBC affiliates have lost lots of viewers. I dont believe any of NBCs O&Os are number 1.
if you don't post in HD, don't put HD in the title. i hate it when people do that.

I never said THEY suck. I said their graphics and set suck. Yeah, their news presentation is not what I really like, but it's fine.

I think you are wrong sir! WMAQ has fallen a lot in the last few years just like most NBC O&Os. I believe WBBM has caught up.
