@shekar: I agree. Actually thats typical of a human nature and considering the kind of global attention these guys have got, thay have become a little 'airy' in their attitude. But as you see in the video, their existence is under constant threat. So they better be good or they won't be accepted anywhere else...
It is a myth that dabbawallas are professional. They have a monopoly and like any monopoly, they have become corrupt. Some dabbawallas are rude and abusive to customers, especially when they have to deliver to old-style houses with no elevators. They also often don't deliver food as per their whims. There is no accountability because there is no way to complain.
I recently read an article about the Dabbawala and the hard and efficient work they've become so well-known for. It was a pleasure to be able to put a picture with those words and actually see them in action.
