  • did you think about trying to fit the hemi shaker in that hood.. cherry on top !!!!

  • My brother and I built a couple of these motors back in the early 80's! Man they're freak'n boat anchors! The heads alone where like 70 pounds apiece! We had to travel to Jim Oddy's in Buffalo just to get an oil pump. We were going to put it in a 73 cuda. Never did get around to it. Put a 340 in it instead. Not my choise for a street motor when so many other options are available. The idea is to take the weight off the front end not add a few hundred pounds.

  • Nice!! ENVY ENVY ENVY I had one too. My second car in '72 was a barley used '71 340 Demon. White w/ blacked-out hood and twin scoops. I was one cool 11th grader. don't know what I was thinking when I traded it for a new '74 camero (wasn't even a Z-28).

  • SWEEEET

  • Like Homer Sipson would say : AAARRRGGGHH........Nice ride bro!

  • sweet mopar! Love the motor choice too!

  • Dude, your exhaust sounds so amazing! congrats on your mopar!!!

  • wow... what a beaut!!

  • nice DEmon

  • in the Brazil, this car is more of $ 100.00,00

  • i love the wheels how did you get the hemi in

  • great job, bruce! cragar's scream old school nostalgia ... one of my favorite wheels of all time ... 392 looks right at home in your screamin' demon !

  • I bought a 71 demon Red/black 340 4 Speed car out of West Virginia. I was so wanting to restore the car, After I had the car bead blasted the body was gone. Sadly enough the car couldn't be saved. Stripped it and parted it out. LOVE THEM MOPARS

  • Hey I have a 1971 Dodge Demon automatic ... how much did it cost for the 392 hemi and the add ons under the hood? I just have the original rebuilt 318 and rebuilt 904 tranny but I have a 727 and I want a bigger engine.

  • @AJLintner You can pickup 392 rather cheap. Just watch before yo ubuy and be sure they aren't locked up.

  • @dallaspolo Thanks

  • @AJLintner hemi will prob run you 2000 2500 theyre hard to find nowdays i used to have a 1970 valiant duster 340 it was the first year of the duster body and i was a retard and let it get crushed

  • nice purr

  • Id really like to get a 71 demon (or sport) and put a 5.7 hemi into it (I have to have mileage I'm still in high school) then I would like to base the exterior (and interior I guess lol) on the Mexican Dodge Super Bees. Does anyone know where I could find a solid body for a fair price?

  • @MFP1520 thoose are the originals though, why change the rims

  • @hoythunting1 those aren't original. those are cragars. originals were probably rallye style wheels

  • @MFP1520

Are you an idiot or just mentally retarded?

  • @MFP1520 The wheels are nice. This car doesnt except ghetto dubs sorry

  • @MFP1520 those are crager wheels you ARE and idiot and retarded

  • Man, I don't know how you got that motor in that little engine bay, but you did. Good job.

  • @robkal56 I think the 392 is from the '50's so it's a bit smaller...

  • @beepandbop Good point. I hadn't considered the overall size due to small difference between the original hemis and the elephant 426s. But it's great to say, "It's got a hemi in it." Thanks for the input.

  • @robkal56 well I'm not sure the size differences, Chrysler engines are very interesting but I'm not very good at them. I do know that displacement is NOT a good indicator for the actual size of the engine.

  • @beepandbop Oh, I agree. The obvious Mopar example is a 426 vs. 440.

Then my original observation stands. Shoehorning any big block into an A body is an accomplishment, especially for the guy working out of his garage. Take it easy.

  • @beepandbop haha, very true, just takr Pontiac for example, as if a small block 400 wasnt bad enough they made a small block 455! LOL

  • Nice work whoever built that car.

  • Very nice!! Always loved the Demonds taIl lights. Owned 5 Dusters. 1 Gold Duster and 1 Hang Ten with a 360/750 thermo quad.

    The good old days....

  • Thats a small cam for that Hemi.

  • Great car but I'm drooling over the elephant under the hood! How is that 4000 Stall on the street?

  • all u had to say was Hemi!!!

  • i love those puffy sound from rear end seem

  • Man!

I wish my Demon had a HEMI :)

    Congrats! It sounds great.

  • i have a dodge dart sport 1973 i wonted to put a 5.7L hemi in it how could i do that and what to do first

  • American muscle, nothing like it brother.

Just like USA guitars. America will always be the king of muscle cars, good looking women & quality guitars!!

  • Hey , That thing got a HEMI ? :-D

  • Bruce , That exhaust ound is addictive ,

It sounds like it wants to run you over standing still .

  • Beautiful job, Bruce. That hemi makes for one snug fit in there. And it absolutely purrs. Wow !

  • Cool car! I thought," this guy has to be at least in his 50's! LOL! Yep, my age too. Era correct too with the Cragars. Burn rubber and prosper!

  • That's what I'm talking about!

Your Demon is evil. I love it.

  • Wow 71 demons are hard to come by.

And its even better with a 392 Hemi.

    Sweet Ride! Sounds mean too!

  • That Looks and sounds Very Healthy, My step dad almost put a 392 Hemi in a 1965 Barracuda, Underneath the dash.

Those early HEMI`S are such monster`s and road burner`s! Im a big time Chevy boy but i have learned nothing breathes better than a Chrysler HEMI.

  • Nice job!

  • do you know the external dimensions of the 392 hemi Good job BTW

  • Great power plant! Good job.

  • That is such a sweet car...
