Ich fall' vom Hocker! Ich wäre ja schon mit einem Video über den Bau einer einfachen Hümmelchenspielpfeife mehr als glücklich gewesen und dann das! Du bist aber werkstattmäßig richtig gut ausgestattet. Eine Frage zu diesem Video (und einem älteren) brennt mir dann aber doch noch unter den Nägeln: Wenn Du die Oberfläche mit der Funktionspolitur bearbeitet hast - kann der Chanter dann noch ins Leinöl oder ölst Du den gar nicht auf diese Weise (untertauchen und ein paar Tage im Ölbad lassen) ?

Hallo,

die Behandlung der Bohrung habe ich hier ja nicht gezeigt, weil so wie ich es im Moment genau mache..., naja, das behalte ich erstmal für mich.

Ansonsten, bei "saugfähigen" Hölzern wie Pflaume, Ahorn, Elsbeere, Kirsche , also alles so bis 0,7 Dichte, ist Leinöl ( Firnis oder Standöl) ideal. Ob man taucht oder einreibt, für mich macht das nicht so den grossen Unterschied, ich finde aber wenig Öl, dafür mehrmals aufgetragen, ist besser als einmal ganz viel Leinöl

it is a F-pitch chanter +/-0cents,

12 keys,

not 11keys, unusual, but sometimes, very rare, I need the Bflat key on a "standart" 11 key chanter if I try to play french or german tunes with a g-major/g-minor change in the tune.

12 keys is for me the best choice, at the moment

Oh, yes, the illusive Bb key. It seems that most makers don't like to put a Bb key on. Is it difficult to make or mount? Have you made keys out of silver? Too expensive now, I guess.

No, the Bb key is not more difficult, but his mount is placed where you put the right thumb on the chanter. Makes it inconvenient to hold the chanter, in particular you have a big thumb like me. I screw for this reason a "thumb plate" on, where I can put on my big" 28mm thumb".

I have made so far no silver NSP keys, but for Musette. My method making the NSP keys produced 50-60% waste. For 12 keys, made in my method, you need ca. 180-200g silver, thats would be 330-350€ now.

Echt geil !!! Ich will sowas auch machen nur leider fehlen mir die ganzen Maschinen :( Muss ich wohl ersmal bei den Hümmelchen bleiben...:P
