  • The Police's Stewart Fucking Copeland on Drums!

  • I was hearing this song while working on my bikes in the garage. In fact, it was playing from a car radio I installed to my bicycle. It was tuned to 93.1 Doug FM (WDRQ Detroit, of which the same frequency and call letters played dance music that was reminiscent of Eurodance, Jock Jams and A Night At The Roxbury-like songs back in the late 90s.).

  • Thumbs up if you came after getting a Hand Job!

  • "Hi there!" brought me here.

  • AAAHH OMG OMG OMG MYSELF BROUGHT ME HERE!!

    twats.

  • Hi there

  • WRESTLMINA 22 THEME SONG

  • THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH!!

  • thumbs this up if nba on demand brought you here!

  • I came here because I'm an 80s baby and remember hearing this song when I was a kid growing up in that awesome decade. Great to see that this song has been used in many other places today so that others can enjoy it!

  • Thumbs up if you wanted to hear The Police's Stewart Copeland play drums on this track!

  • Lehman Brothers

  • I brought myself here because this guy has some awesome music.

  • NBA TV BROUGHT ME HERE!

  • NBA.

  • wrestelmaniaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • No man NBA brought me here!!!

  • Thumbs up if Wrestlemania 22 brought you here

  • same but i like peter gabriel so :D

  • ....or maybe they're just deaf. In any case, find the video with lyrics.

  • 3 people have a questionable taste

  • Peter Gabriel told me to come here. And I came. Genesis asked me to make an appearance as well. I told Phil, I had to wake early, but Mike insisted I make an appearance. Enjoy the music.

  • NBA BIg things are coming commercial brought me here

  • capistalistic state of mind

  • No one else notice the great bass in this song?

  • @zyclonb6 tony levin,chapman stick,King Crimson,who can you miss it

  • @mongabella Gowan also

  • @mongabella Tony Levin is brilliant!!!!!

  • @zyclonb6 I always thought that. As a matter of fact I play my bass ot it at times.

  • @zyclonb6 I did.

  • best wrestlemania .

  • i just like his name.......G

  • Tony Levin is the one that turned the "funk volume" up to 11, though! lol! That Chapman stick part is killin'. So it the organ.

  • WrestleMania 22

  • @TheBenWalker87 damn straight

  • Hi There !!!

  • orgasmo

  • all you people wondering about the bass - Tony Levin is a god. look him up.

  • @MrMichaelS85 Why is that is sounds so easy to play - but it isn't!? I love that Liquid Tension Experiment too.

  • @jacksonbiscuit Because it's like a Miles Davis tune :-) Really. This is more like a tune that Marcus Miller would write for Miles Davis (like Tutu). Gabriel is a killer musician,

  • @bourgeoisbrats But Tony Levin is the one that's making it super funky, with the friggin' Chapman stick! lol! The organ is killin' too :-)

  • my music...when I was young

  • Thank you to Inside Job--both for enlightening me, and leading me to this song.

  • The Inside Job

  • theme song for all day to day activities

  • So much larger than life!

  • This song makes me feel powerful... :)

  • I´m here because of Inside Job

  • The bassist is the shit......

  • @kinkypinkzzz wow hell ya - never noticed before, awesome bass!\

  • RAISE A HAND IF 'INSIDE JOB' BRING U HERE !!

  • Why the hell is everyone talking about phil collins in peter gabriel videos?

Are they similar? (and yes i know they were in genesis)

  • gotta go with phil collens in this matchup, bigger fan of pc, more familiar name to the common man

  • Collins couldn't carry Gabriel's jock. He's talented, don't get me wrong, but Gabriel is just much more dynamic.

  • WARNING: COMMENT BELOW ME DISPLAYS NO MUSICAL INSIGHT.

  • @bnz500 as much as i LOVE phil collins, they are two totally different singers, although they were both in genesis, there music is not even close to similar, but both, very good, in my opinion, so peter is not trying to be phil collins wanna-be at all...i recommend listening to phil collins at perhaps at least once?

  • 2 people think small

  • wrestlemaia 23 <3

  • @baseball2662 it was 22....fail

  • @TheInferno515 woops

  • "The regulators had the power to act on every case I brought before them, they just didn't want to."

  • WELCOME TO WRESTLEMANIA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thumbs up if you came here from Inside Job!

  • @TotalSneakPeak :-)))))))))))))) yes :-))))

  • awesome bassline!!

  • cool song

  • HI there.....

  • I thought that it was the late Canadian Dominic Troiano who was singing that song at first because it sounded like Dominic Troiano much more than Peter Gabriel.

  • today's music simply SUCKS

    do you people agree

  • @fangornMDR yea sucks big time

  • @fangornMDR

Yeah, it's all black rapshit or freaks of nature like lady gaga, or commercial exploited crap like justin bieber that dominate the hitparades. Bring back the artist of the 80's, because they realy need to teach those modern artist a lesson in how to make some good music, that wil be remembert, even over 25 years!

Hell, bring back the entire 80's, as in life and television, because that was the best decade this planet ever has known!

  • @3DPeter There was a lot of schlock in the 80's...I think that's when modern pop really started to turn into unimaginative crap. That said, I really enjoy some of gaga's stuff...bieber and his manufactured muck not so much, but he's got a nice enough voice, and maybe we'll see an improvement as he grows into a man. Dad's collection when I was a kid included everything from handel to coltrane to sepultura. Expand your horizons a little, and you might find your opinions aren't written in stone.

  • @3DPeter as long as we dont bring back the mullets or the skinny ties

  • @DLP195788300

that was way better than those stuppid tatoo's everybody is having these days, because those were fashion statements wich everybody can get rid of, after that fashion wears out. Something the idiots of today can't with their tatoo's. I almost can't wait until we are 10 years ahead when the first show comes that is named , so you got a tatoo? ( and want to get rid of it) were kids from the 90's regret that they took a tatoo because it was fashion in the 2000's.

  • @DLP195788300

btw, i wouldn't change my ties for those rediclious clothes some people wear today. Now for example take that mike dude from west coast customs. I mean look at those trowsers. It's like i'm looking at an adult that looks like a 5 years old, pants that are to wide and to short. Or look at al those idiots with a beard these days. it's like they took our mullets, and glue it under their chin. No way, that i would walk around like that.

No, the 80's had style and class.

  • @3DPeter oh, does rap "shit" because its mostly black artists? Zieg Heil!

  • @FURognar

i like eddy murphy, michael jackson, tina turner, jackson 5, 6 , 7, you name it, so go fuck yourself! And you know why i like them? It's because they are real artist or actors who realy can sing or act, somthing i can't say about todays rap artist. When i would rant about white trash nobody would give a shit, but as soon when a white dude critisize a black person, it's racism in the eyes of the left wingend mofo's like you! Wel, cry whatever you want, because i don't give a shit!

  • @3DPeter Relax dude, I was fucking with you. I hate rap too. And how do you know I'm left winged or not from that single comment? Making big assumptions there dude.

  • @FURognar haha :P~

  • WRESTLEMANIA!!

  • @TheFlyPelican Yea, Wrestlemania 22, great PPV : )

  • this song is in the inside job

  • ill be stretching my mouth to let those big words come out .

  • THAT BASS LINE!! YUMM!!!! ;)

  • I really, really liked this one. I actually preferred it over "Sledgehammer" though that, too, is good and was a success. I find this song very appealing. Thank you for this post.

  • Is he still living?

  • @rickames yes.

  • @mnclesunkey Thanks, when was the last time he recorded music?

  • hi there peter

  • the 80's in a nutshell

  • Wrestlemania 22 and Inside Job lol

  • 1 person shocked the monkey with a sledgehammer, Big time!!

  • HI THERE!

  • No, no, no. It's not a comment on greed. It's about the sheer egotism you need to rise above the ordinary. It's terrifying. And we wonder why the hugely successful are such egotists. It's the fuel that's needed to get you across the finish line, because everyone will hate you and criticize you along the way for daring to be something big.

  • I love how this song can be interpreted as either a guy pulling himself out of life in poverty or a commentary on the excesses of the 80's Reagan era America. I mean, what was the catch phrase of the generation? "Greed is good."

  • Inside Job credits + NY skyline ;)

  • Wrestlemania 22 brought me here!

  • I didn't hear this song until I watched the "Inside Job" documentary.

  • yup - im in the same boat as 5martie - perfect song for the skyline of new york!

  • @mxujb001 or a perfect song for an establishing shot on rapacious greed.

  • Inside Job brought me here.

  • he was one of the first off the mark to see the big dollars comin from CD's and also MTV and he knew it'd take cash to make the vids - the toons are great but this guy So knew what he was doing... like stevie winnwood, clapton, collins, etc...

  • great guitar groove in the backing group!

  • The breakdown with that dirty bassline is the shiznittle-bam-snip-snap-sack.

  • Wrestlemania 22 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • all about doing heroin folks.

  • @whitwainwright - Sause?

  • aw damn, i hadn't heard this song in a while after Wrestlemania 22.

  • this is a great song for a workout....anyone know if we can still find the cd??? thx

  • @teejaymajay Yep you can find the CD on Amazon and it's been digitally remastered! yeah!

  • @teejaymajay You can find it on amazon.

  • I stiil I have the original CD pretty amazing by Peter Gabriel

  • Peter Gabriel always made unique videos and this song was no different. It's hard not to appreciate his music.

  • man Levin is a God.....

  • Until I heard this I thought Pete could make anything cool, just look at Sledgehammer and Shock the Monkey, they're just pop songs but they still have some credibility and they're still awesome songs but I really don't have much good to say about this song.

  • i really like this song, hell i like peter gabriel's music

  • Sick Bassline

  • @UrbanGuerilla88 yeah, its played with drum sticks.

  • WrestleMania 22

  • My parties have all the big names

and i greet them with the whitest smile.

Tell them how my life is one big adventure.

    and always their amazed.

when i show them round the house to my bed.

i had it made like a mountain rage with a snow white pillow for my big fat head.

and my heaven will be a big heaven, and i will walk through the front door!

    MY FAVOURITE lyrics

  • ive got the original-record "So"! He is my favourite musician. and this song is still classic and one of my favorites; my favorite song ever is "RED RAIN"! What do you think?

  • Hey there!

I just read that being famous is a career? So and so's humble beginnings before they hit the Big Time. Before They Were Famous? lol

  • One of the best Wrestlemania themes ever, it was just fantastic how well it worked.

  • @DyerMedia YES! Back when WWF had actual characters!

  • Perfect song for early 1987 USA, no?

  • @deadsurfr

that is my favorite line in the entire song.

AND MY HEAVEN WILL BE A BIG HEAVEN, AND i WILL WALK THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR!!!

  • IMO one of the best theme songs to one of the best WrestleMania's of all-time!

  • Love the Drums in this track - That Stewart Copeland is something else.

  • This song was very commercial, BUT, listen to some of the lyrics. "and my Heaven will be a Big Heaven, and I will walk through the front door"! Pretty powerful words. Peter is AWESOME!

  • @Deadsurfr Gabriel had the pulse of the free spending pay later '80's - his "Wall Street" - that man never missed a trick but boy did the rest of the world . . .

  • @Deadsurfr - you may not understand the times in which this song was released. Of course it's commercial. It was released during height of the "go-go" '80s. For once, I don't blame an artist going commercial. It's an affirmation of the times in which it was released and a satire at the same time. Ha!

  • i love peter gabriel's songs

  • Awesome singer

    Awesome song .

  • @tomoblivion yeeeeeee
