@BillyClark860 You really think any vehicle burning fuel is healthy for the environment? Ofcourse it IS bad. I don't really care though, I still love driving my diesel around. But it's retards like you that make truck drivers look like faggots. "yeehaww r trucks r 4 x more environmentally friendly thn a nissan leaf bcuz diesel is magic, fuck yu pussies!"
wow. big ass truck like that not the smallest puff of blacksmoke? i couldnt handle that. gotta have smoke with diesel! atleast you know ya get better diesel milage than one that does smoke.
If you're dumping more fuel, your pyro going to be a lot warmer, especially if your turbo isn't big enough to clear it up. How do you figure its cooler....
from the sounds of that dinging when you turned the key over i take it you didnt wait for the fuel pump to turn on and everytime you do that its extremely hard on the truck but seeing the way you drive i doubt you care haha fuckin cummins ALL the way
All diesels should have stacks in my opinion, having normal auto exhaust on a diesel is just a jackass move from OEM. A lot of people increase the boost on those turbo diesels and when they do that shit gets crazy smoke going and it's not cool for everyone around you especially if you just so happened to be behind at a stoplight and this guy thinks he is going to get a medal for going as fast as he can to the next light
@drewnashty increased boost makes less smoke most diesel owners increase fueling which makes more smoke not boost boost=intake air which is good for diesels chips and stock turbos=increased fuel and once the turbo lights more air but only as much as the stock turbo can handle the biggest problem with most diesel owners they dont know how their engine operates more boost less smoke more fuel more smoke
@jonesd5o increased fuel does help with boost...it doesn't necessarily increase boost, but it helps a larger turbo spool faster. There's a fine line between too much fuel, and not enough...You can over fuel a turbo, and it'll never light, but if you also underfuel the turbo, you'll never get the maximum performance out of it. You're right, that once the turbo spools up, it should clear up your smoke, but that's the quickest way to fuel a larger turbo, is by throwing more fuel at it.
@jonesd5o@21dennhop Black smoke is unburnt fuel. It is caused by not having enough oxygen to burn with the fuel. There may be a lack of oxygen because the turbo is still spooling or the user may purposely program the vehicle to run rich. The benefits of running it rich is to keep temperatures down as the fuel whisks heat energy away from the pistons and turbos as it vaporizes. In turn for decreased temps they can run the vehicle harder.
Um actually the black smoke is unburnt diesel retard. You should really stop talking about diesel trucks while your ahead because you know nothing about them and your making yourself look dumb
@TJDeadkid well when your runnin a dominator on a motor that needs like a 750, and it gets low on rpms, and you keep it full throttle. you will get overloaded
Are you fucking stupid?! The reason why most people put stacks on a diesel is to make it look like a tractor when it smokes. You wouldn't know that because you know nothing about diesel truck you bum fuck.
@xltfordboy really cause my father is in the truck wwith his friend who owns the truck, and he put them on not to look like a tractor and black smoke forms when the truck is burning to much oil usually when its towing somethin so suck a chode fag
@speedy02 All his videos are like that lol, that's why i subscribed a while back, that's what makes it fun to watch...That and he puts out like 3 videos every day, gives me something to do.
I don't really get the whole huge stacks in the bed of your truck thing. Fucking diesel is loud enough as it is lol don't need to be any louder! But thats just my opinion.
@babyimsuperman they have duallys with duramaxs in them...lol. i mean a damn ranger can burn out with just one tire on each side. when you burnin all four tires in the back then you got some power.
@smokeuout009 i kno they have duallys but regardless he needs a duramax lol an yea i kno its prolly chipped an all that not sayin its not powerful id just rather have a duramax.... real men were bowties :)
@babyimsuperman i do like a duramax i aint even gonna lie. the next truck i get will prolly be one. but i drive a F350 powerstrokeee for now. and its a dually. and it'll burn all four! haha but you gotta love that dirtymax too
i remember one day i thought i knew what trucks were.
I had a ford lightning it put out 450 pound feet of tourqe.. It was also a supercharged v8....long story short one day i was working at my job at the dodge dealer and they had 5.9 v8 magnum's and there was also the 5.9 cummins well little did I know that the cummins was a 6 cylinder making more tourq then my lightning but just amazing more power then a huge powerstroke but there 6 cylinders are way bigger then ur average cyli
Nice rig, love the bed cover, I don't really care about the no smoke issue, but who doesn't like a nice, thick, black cloud every now and then? Not trying to be critical or anything but black smoke is NOT unburnt fuel. Unburnt fuel is usually white/grey. Black smoke just means your running rich and not enough air for a quick, clean, efficient burn. But regardless, it is still being burnt all the way, just slowly and inefficiently. But that's where the excuse comes in for a turbo upgrade!
the cheap way to get rid of the excessive black smoke it nitrous, Banks found this out and has been advertising like its their product causing it to burn so clean. when really every project truck they got has 2 big ass bottles of nitrous
why does it matter if it makes smoke or not its still awesome-personally i dont like when it smokes but i dont know all that much about diesel so weather its supposed to smoke or not i dont know but i dont like when they smoke like crazy
A diesel only smokes when there is more fuel than air in the combustion chamber, this most noticable when the truck is chipped or has a larger turbo. But when the turbo catches up and restores the Fuel/air ratio there is no more smoke
a good runing diesel is when its smokeing. and the black smoke isnt more notcieable with a bigger turbo. its injectors. yes a bigger turbo may create a little bit more smoke but not much.

a bigger turbo inducts more air. more air requires more fuel. more fuel equals bigger injectors. if you upgrade to a large turbo you need to dump more fuel into the motor. more fuel=more soot/smoke.....
yes in a way you are correct. i run a aurora turbo in my 2007.5 chevy with bully dog injectors an soot just rolls out of my exhaust.
@Baddaxx you are correct to a point. diesel's require fuel to lubricate the engine.
if you burn all that fuel in the engine to where there is no un burnt fuel then the motor isnt being lubricated correctly.
you are correct in your comment. but then again your not
you take a honda, and slam huge injectors in it plus a turbo. and drive it around. there is tons of unburnt fuel. its just not seen as easily because there is less oil in normal gas as compared to diesel. diesel=combustion gas=spark
@tmaxxmonster2 Ok lok I cant tech you diesel theory but I can tell you that you are not correct. (new)Diesels inject directly into the combustion chamber and fuel has Absolutly nothing to do with lubricating the engine (unless we are talking a 2 stroke) the engine is lubricated by OIL like any other gasoline 4 stroke. the fuel lubricates the FUEL pump ONLY. 24 years in this trade and certified =)
@Baddaxx im not trying to fight with you at all since your soooooooo fucking smart.
but i built my 2007 6.6 motor from the bottom end up. and i know it pumps fuel directly into the combustion chamber. why the fuck do you think there is no spark jackass.
anyways, im not guna sit here and bitch with you cuz theres no point in doing so. your just guna make yourself happy and seem soooo cool but no one here really fucking cares
@Baddaxx What kind of mechanic are you? Extra fuel does not mean less power. Try telling a puller that they will get more power if they turns back the fuel.
@evanbatterman Bigger turbo is more OXEGYN to burn the fuel completly. soke or COAL is CHARED fuel and it is COAL. Lets all GOOGLE it before we start our rants and get ejamakated first =) I would not have been able to build a twin turboed 1100 Ft lbs Duramax blazer If iI didnt know something . look at my vids its there
I'n pretty sure that a bigger turbo=less smoke, because a bigger turbo=more air= higher air/diesel ratio "
basically what im saying is a bigger turbo it will deliver move oxygen which will allow u to fully burn the unburnt fuel that would have before been spit out as black smoke. delivering more air allows you to take advantage of the excess fuel your injectors inject.
please go buy a programmer, its depressing watching this video and you dont put out no smoke in a bad ass truck. My 96 12v dumps out smoke and its bone stock except for a 125hp fuel plate
The thing about your comment "real trucks don't have spark plugs" is completelly true. However, sad to say Nissan is moving up in life. Since the supply most americans with vehicles, their wanting to dominate the Diesel catagory. DO NOT BUY FOREIGN DIESEL TRUCKS! The only Diesel you may buy, is British or German cars. Cummins and Powerstroke all the way. "Ram it?" ram into a building? Or pull the front end off a car? Ford all the way! :P
Hahaha you gotta be kidding me right? If you don't know anything about diesels then keep your mouth shut. First of all Cummins engines don't have glow plugs, they have a grid heater. And glow plugs and spark plugs are pretty much the same thing? Wow ur dumb
i heard that! anybody who thinks glow plugs and spark plugs are the same just sound like complete morons because they think they know. Older diesel engines didn't have ANY kind of pre heating device and just used the engine compression alone on start up to get em going, thats why some took so long to start, and also why some wouldn't start at all in cold weather. Once you got em running in the cold, you shouldn't shut em off if they don't have glow plugs.
no they don't. i looked at a brand new chevy vs brand new dodge duallies fully loaded, the dodge was $35,000, the chevy was up in the mid $40K range, and i am usually a chevy guy, but i don't want a duramax or a powerstroke, i want a cummins dammit! Why do you think cummins, cat, and detroit are the top 3 diesel engines in semi's? Cause they are the best! International (powerstroke) may be a good company, but such a bitch to work on squeezed in a ford hood.
Whats the point in stacks if you don't black smoke??? I have a 1991.5 Ram 250 5.9 cummins. for you kiddies out there the 91.5 is a half year with intercooler differnt size turbo and nozzles OMG yes nozzles not injectors Nozzles stupid injectors smarth cummins 5.9 didn't get injectors till the half year in 98 history lessons are fun
@Joe198969 stacks dont have to blow black smoke to be cool and put on your truck. they look good and sound good. when you fuck with the computer to trigger it it blow black smoke it actually fucks up the engine on your truck as well as the computer
@WhiteNuklz966 You are the dumbest fuck i've ever heard. Im a certified diesel tech, no blowing black smoke doesn't harm the ecm or the engine. Black smoke is unburnt fuel that is going through the exhaust. So before you blather on think for a second then post. You fucking retard
@Joe198969 yea i work on diesels all the time. 5 years been doing it. work with a diesel tech. hate to tell you but who the fuck taught you about diesels? your imbred sister. diesels blow black smoke when they are working pulling trailers. but when they are just driving around and blowing black smoke its because they have EFI Live or PPE or Edge, ect. it triggers switch that tricks the computer into thinking your giving it full boost which opens the wastegate 100 percent. look it up asshole
@WhiteNuklz966 you must not be a very good technician then . First EFI live is only for duramax not cummins. Secondly The programmers/ tuners NEVER open your wastegate if it did you would never build boost making no power. Third programmers/ tuners make more power by increasing Parameters like injection duration, timing , Rail pressure, EXT.Fourth Tricking the truck into thinking its at full boost is only good for making smoke no reputable tuner does that because you don't gain any power from
@Joe198969 Can you explain what you just said? From what I understand (correct me if im wrong) you said that cummins didnt get injectors till 98.5. Is that correct? If thats what you said you're wrong, the only major change in 98.5 is the 12v to 24v motors.
@TheNeckasaurus Yes I am correct. Nozzles just pop open at a certain pressure. Injectors are fired electronically and have better fuel control. I do know what I am talking about, I'm a certified diesel tech i've pop tested nozzles, and there is a big differnce between nozzles and injectors. Nozzles stupid. Injectors smart. Crack open a service manual you jackass.
@Joe198969 Dude chill out, then why are there "injectors" available to buy for cummins from 89 till now? Why do I have 150hp injectors on my 97? These are questions that I want you to explain to me, dont trip out.
@TheNeckasaurus Because someone is lazy and don't want to call something by the correct term. They aren't 150 horse injectors they are 150 horse nozzles. The difference between nozzles and injectors nozzles just pop at a certain pressure, and the injector is electronically controlled to open and spray fuel when the computer says to. Must i further explain anymore?
@TheNeckasaurus And yes what i said here is correct. Nozzles Mechanically opened by the pressure of the fuel. And in 98.5 the 24v is an electronically controlled engine 12v is all mechanical. you can't chip a 12v and a 24v you can so I'd call going from mechanical to electronic control a big differnce
@Joe198969 I never disagreed with you on the 12v and 24v, in fact im the one who said that was the major change if you look at my post. I apologize I just never heard the term nozzles before.
@Joe198969 A real good tune wont blow smoke, a little black is ok but a lot means you're over fueling and you're EGT's are going to be high. The smoke does look cool though
and this is why 60% of earth's oilis consumed by americans

@evanbatterman Bigger turbo is more OXEGYN to burn the fuel completly. soke or COAL is CHARED fuel and it is COAL. Lets all GOOGLE it before we start our rants and get ejamakated first =) I would not have been able to build a twin turboed 1100 Ft lbs Duramax blazer If iI didnt know something . look at my vids its there

@Baddaxx
thats exactly what i said in my previous comment.

I'n pretty sure that a bigger turbo=less smoke, because a bigger turbo=more air= higher air/diesel ratio "
basically what im saying is a bigger turbo it will deliver move oxygen which will allow u to fully burn the unburnt fuel that would have before been spit out as black smoke. delivering more air allows you to take advantage of the excess fuel your injectors inject.
evanbatterman 1 year ago
yes it is but what happends went you got big injectors and sct programer ????
lobojamonero 2 years ago
Same thing it'll smoke till the ratio is back to what it should be, you'll most likely need a bigger turbo too

Because not everyone wastes fuel in their diesels and calls it power.
JtsGreene 2 years ago 2
The thing about your comment "real trucks don't have spark plugs" is completelly true. However, sad to say Nissan is moving up in life. Since the supply most americans with vehicles, their wanting to dominate the Diesel catagory. DO NOT BUY FOREIGN DIESEL TRUCKS! The only Diesel you may buy, is British or German cars. Cummins and Powerstroke all the way. "Ram it?" ram into a building? Or pull the front end off a car? Ford all the way! :P

but they do have glow plugs....pretty much the same thing.
gmaxking15 2 years ago
Hahaha you gotta be kidding me right? If you don't know anything about diesels then keep your mouth shut. First of all Cummins engines don't have glow plugs, they have a grid heater. And glow plugs and spark plugs are pretty much the same thing? Wow ur dumb
DudgeCummins 2 years ago
i heard that! anybody who thinks glow plugs and spark plugs are the same just sound like complete morons because they think they know. Older diesel engines didn't have ANY kind of pre heating device and just used the engine compression alone on start up to get em going, thats why some took so long to start, and also why some wouldn't start at all in cold weather. Once you got em running in the cold, you shouldn't shut em off if they don't have glow plugs.
sailorchaos1274 2 years ago
a lot of older equipment also has smaller maybe 5 hp gas engines on them....the exhaust was vented into the air intake to have warm air to start.

glow plugs and spark plugs only have on thing in common they r both in the combustion chamber an thats it
jonesd5o 2 years ago
but they cost more
Destroyke 2 years ago
no they don't. i looked at a brand new chevy vs brand new dodge duallies fully loaded, the dodge was $35,000, the chevy was up in the mid $40K range, and i am usually a chevy guy, but i don't want a duramax or a powerstroke, i want a cummins dammit!

WhiteNuklz966 1 year ago
@WhiteNuklz966 You are the dumbest fuck i've ever heard. Im a certified diesel tech, no blowing black smoke doesn't harm the ecm or the engine. Black smoke is unburnt fuel that is going through the exhaust. So before you blather on think for a second then post. You fucking retard
Joe198969 1 year ago
@Joe198969 yea i work on diesels all the time. 5 years been doing it. work with a diesel tech. hate to tell you but who the fuck taught you about diesels? your imbred sister. diesels blow black smoke when they are working pulling trailers. but when they are just driving around and blowing black smoke its because they have EFI Live or PPE or Edge, ect. it triggers switch that tricks the computer into thinking your giving it full boost which opens the wastegate 100 percent. look it up asshole
WhiteNuklz966 1 year ago
@WhiteNuklz966 you must not be a very good technician then . First EFI live is only for duramax not cummins. Secondly The programmers/ tuners NEVER open your wastegate if it did you would never build boost making no power. Third programmers/ tuners make more power by increasing Parameters like injection duration, timing , Rail pressure, EXT.Fourth Tricking the truck into thinking its at full boost is only good for making smoke no reputable tuner does that because you don't gain any power from

@Joe198969 um, maybe he likes how they look?
xXFmxKingXx 1 year ago
@Joe198969 Can you explain what you just said? From what I understand (correct me if im wrong) you said that cummins didnt get injectors till 98.5. Is that correct? If thats what you said you're wrong, the only major change in 98.5 is the 12v to 24v motors.
TheNeckasaurus 1 year ago
@TheNeckasaurus Yes I am correct. Nozzles just pop open at a certain pressure. Injectors are fired electronically and have better fuel control. I do know what I am talking about, I'm a certified diesel tech i've pop tested nozzles, and there is a big differnce between nozzles and injectors. Nozzles stupid. Injectors smart. Crack open a service manual you jackass.
Joe198969 1 year ago
@Joe198969 Dude chill out, then why are there "injectors" available to buy for cummins from 89 till now? Why do I have 150hp injectors on my 97? These are questions that I want you to explain to me, dont trip out.
TheNeckasaurus 1 year ago
@TheNeckasaurus Because someone is lazy and don't want to call something by the correct term. They aren't 150 horse injectors they are 150 horse nozzles. The difference between nozzles and injectors nozzles just pop at a certain pressure, and the injector is electronically controlled to open and spray fuel when the computer says to. Must i further explain anymore?
Joe198969 1 year ago
@TheNeckasaurus And yes what i said here is correct. Nozzles Mechanically opened by the pressure of the fuel. And in 98.5 the 24v is an electronically controlled engine 12v is all mechanical. you can't chip a 12v and a 24v you can so I'd call going from mechanical to electronic control a big differnce
Joe198969 1 year ago
@Joe198969 I never disagreed with you on the 12v and 24v, in fact im the one who said that was the major change if you look at my post. I apologize I just never heard the term nozzles before.
TheNeckasaurus 1 year ago
@Joe198969 A real good tune wont blow smoke, a little black is ok but a lot means you're over fueling and you're EGT's are going to be high. The smoke does look cool though
