Rebellion in DMC3 changed slighty when Dante activated the DT for the first time. In DMC1, he used the Force Edge (still unknown why he used it), but then gave it to Trish in Sparda's state. In DMC2, Rebellion is different, maybe because Dante activated DDT (the ultimate devil trigger of DMC2 Dante) some time before DMC2 (wanna see the scene in DMC4). Or maybe DMC2 Reb. has an unfinished design.

well looks like there aint even one scene connecting DMC4 to DMC2(just finished 4) I'm gonna be pissed if they declare 2 non-canon cuz I love 2.

dante's sword keep changing in every game

in the first it was force Edge, but then he gave that to trish, so in the second it was Rebellion and in the third he didn't have force Edge at that time, so he still has Rebellion, but rebellion looks different because he hasn't activated his devil powers, once he activates his powers and gains devil trigger, Rebellion gets a handgaurd, but in DMC2 the hand guard looks more like a T, the one in 3 had not been completly opened yet so it looks more like a Y
