@toto (3) I can't speak to the gay clubs in Brussels, but next time you're in London, go to the gay clubs Area or Fire, and you'll hear amazing house music that will take you places circuit music never can. The DJs play sets that take you on a journey, not just the same ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk beats and tempo all night. Circuit boys here come back from Europe and all say that the music in the clubs is amazing. The circuit scene in the US is dying and it's because of the music.
@toto (2) I agree Drum and Bass hasn't changed in 10 years, but I was talking about House and Progressive. Even Trance has changed and evolved in the last decade. House, progressive house, and trance are bigger than ever here in the States, while a circuit party will have only half the number of boys that it did 10 years ago. All my circuit friends complain that the music hasn't changed in a decade and they want something new, but no promoters will give it to them.
@toto: (1) I saw Tony Moran spin a month ago here in LA, and every song sounded the same for five hours, with the same 4/4 rhythmic beat that has been the staple in the circuit for over ten years. If you say you can tell which year a song is from, I bet it's because of the singer or vocals, not because of the beat. And if the best years of circuit were only two years (1999-2000) that doesn't say much for this genre of music.
Ps: this song is a mashup with "Tony Moran - Give It To Me Harder" (a old song from early 2000 years) and "Lady Gaga - Just Dance". So don't compare the potential of Tony Moran with it.
@ bongdrop (contd): Dance music has evolved so much since since the 90s; before you travel to Europe, just listen to top names like Tiesto, John Digweed, Carl Cox, Sharam, Sasha and the stuff they played 10 yrs ago, vs. now, and you'll see what I mean about change in EDM.
@pwcinla I live in Europe, and the music in gay clubs are hyper repetitive, monotonous, cheap, cheesy, simple, unimaginative, no vocals (or only in the break), déjà-vu and boring. Perfect tune for junkies. Less than five instruments which collide and running in a loop for 8 minutes, is much more annoying that a song with more instruments, much more notes and harmonics, a voice, a lyric, a chorus... in my opinion.
@pwcinla (2) And what are you talking about this "change" ??? Is that Drum N Bass have so much evolved since 90" ? NO! Always the same kicks, snares and bass line! Simply because these components constitute the essence of this genre. As much as some other components constitue the essence of Circuit Music. If you are tired of Circuit Music, doesn't mean that this genre is "dead" or "dated". Keep this in your mind.
@pwcinla (3) As I read your comments, you have to know absolutely anything about circuit Djs. All great Circuit Djs changed since 90". Give me any songs from them, I will tell you VERY easily if the song dates from 90", 1999-2000 (best years for circuit music) or nearlie 2010. You can be tired of circuit music or ever liked it, but you can't say stupidities like this.
@bongdrop: I'm the only dated thing about TM's beats? Wha-? So his beats *are* dated but only because of me? Wow, I'm honored. If you're trying to insult me, try and make your comment make sense. Or have substance. TM is still playing the same 4/4 beats he played 10 years ago, like all circuit DJs, that's why the scene is dying. Go to Europe and listen to the music in the big gay clubs there; they play real house and no Top 40.

Muito bom msm. A musica já começa num clima agitadíssimo! Sem aquelas batidas chatas que dá sono. É isso aí!
