  • our TSSBDA is top band is doing this song. Ours is alot more flowy. We elongate the fourth beat with almost like a fermata.

  • I was there...I played the bell part i was first chair percussion blue band

  • oooooooooooooooooo

    bravo

  • absolutely amazing!

  • Amazing... well done... as a trumpet player, felt that the trumpets were a little weak but still very good. I'm playing this for marching band at my college. Well done though. Great job!

  • I think this is a more advanced version then what we played and sounds much better

  • I played that in middle school band it is very beautiful

This sounds much better than ours

  • im in middle svhool and im playing this piece with my band i searched it to hear the song

  • What year was this?

  • February, 2007

  • Beautiful arrangement, soft sound!

  • this is a beautiful song. my school is playin it for our concert and i muss say.....im lovin da euphonium solo at the begininggg =)

  • @kelsinichelle123 I totally agree although, in my ear, it was noticeably sharp, or the rest of the band was flat :-)

  • i mean GO TEXAS BANDS! WOO

  • GO TEXAS!!! WOOO!

  • man I love Texas =]

such good university and high school level musical groups coming from here

  • The flutes sound very nice. It's a hard thing to get all of your flutes in very close tuning.

Very passionate. It seems like you guys really got into it and enjoyed this piece.

  • GOTTA LOVE DAT OBOE! :D

  • Wow, this is amazing!!

  • ughhh ahhh french horn sound *drools*

  • Yes, it is a high school group. Langham Creek Symphonic was judged as the Texas 5A State Honor Band which means they were the best concert band in Texas.

  • My director mentioned maybe playing it because got some good euph parts. :D I hope we do. Especially after hearing this. Go euphs.

  • GOOD!

  • he holds the notes out diff. from our band but yeah it was perdy neat. im a comin yall. yoyo yo this is the shiz noz homedogs

  • This is a very good arrangement of this song. I like it even though there are no voices. Very well played.

  • Oh. I love this and Equus. I wish our band would do Equus :( I would by far push myself to the edge to play the solo or like your band (have first clarinets) play the entire thing. THANK YOU FOR POSTING! :)

  • Can I ask something here? I noticed in Equus the second chair clarinet is now the girl that's the 7th chair in this video? Why did she change?

  • Generally, the chairs are set for each piece. That way, no one plays first all the time. You don't learn as much if you are always playing third. Other sections in this band change around also. They are never in the same order.

  • Oh, okay. Our band doesn't do that. I've been stuck on third for sometime for clarinet though some of the good players graduated so I may have a shot at getting first/second.

I love this and Equus. I wish our band would do Equus.

  • ...another great Texas band strikes again. Houston, TX that is. Beautiful dynamics.

  • Beautiful. The french horn solo was great.

We're working on this in our band class now and it was really helpful to hear how it's *supposed* to sound. :)

  • It's not French Horn.

    It's baritone.

  • actually its the euphonium

  • you're wrong too. it's euphonium lol

  • totally insane french horns

  • Bravissimo, this really is an absolutely beautiful performance

  • AMAZING CONTROL...very emotional...nice job!!

  • Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. AWESOME!! I'm an aspiring tenor and perhaps the biggest fan of Maestro Pavarotti who perhaps more than any other helped the world become familiar with this BEAUTIFUL aria. Bravo! Bravissimo!! You brought tears of Joy! We miss you Maestro!! you have left us.. but look what you have inspired in ALL of us!

  • i play trumpet at taylor (go stangs) but not bad not bad

  • ahh this song is great!!

    gotta love TMEA :D

  • Now that's sonority!!!

  • *drools*
