  • Just about any genuine skill can also be faked. The fact that something may be faked does not mean that it is always faked! And that is the big problem in almost all of Randi's 'debunking'.

  • @cosmicjazzer That's why James Randi often says something like "I'm not saying he isn't using psychic powers to [bend spoons, move objects, etc], but if he is, then he's doing it the hard way.

  • @cosmicjazzer Yup. You're an intelligent person. Unfortunately most people now days don't have critical thinking skills. Why would people still visit a fraud? The clips I've seen, there was no animal blood. But obviously Randi is protecting the medical and pharmaceutical industry as well as the educational industry since they have a LOT to lose if people find out about this.

  • איכס!!!!

  • Know whats funny?

ALL scientists says that "Physic Energy" doesnt exists yet they all says that "Placebo Effect" is real. But what is placebo effect? arent it the thing that can be translated into "believe and it will happen"

  • @AnitoPictures believe and it will happen is not psychic powers. Psychic powers are powers that contradict the laws of nature. But sometimes thinking things has a psychological effect on you which would make your body produce more or X or Y. It doesn't contradict the laws of nature it just means the mind can be fooled and the mind and body aren't as separated as one might think. The placebo effect is not like thinking about an object moving and the object moves.

  • @FlashAstronomy ROFL

"But sometimes thinking things has a psychological effect on you which would make your body produce more or X or Y."

    - If thats the case then why does people who are confident that they have no Cancer suddenly gets the opposite? If the body can be fooled by the mind then why does Mentally illed persons still whole in body?

Come on, admit it, Placebo Effect has no difference with Physic Energy and can be translated into "believe and it will happen, ask and it will be given"

  • @AnitoPictures I'm not an expert so I searched a good description of the effect which can be found on wiki if you search placebo & in "mechanism of the effect".

This should help understand the effect and see that it does not contradict the laws of nature in any way. The brain and the rest of the body are not like the "soul" and body. They are part of the same physical system, which is you, unlike your brain and an object a few feet away which are not linked in any way besides for gravity etc..

  • @FlashAstronomy LOL

I read all the available info in Wiki and it sure is funny how they could complicate something so simple. The article said alot of experiments that proved its existance yet their only explaination is that the brain controls everything. But seriously how could you cure or at least lighten asthma by just believing that you dont have it?

    Any scientific explaination?

  • @AnitoPictures Placebo effect is indeed very powerful but the truth is that no one quite knows HOW it works. The term describes an effect, not a known process!

  • @cosmicjazzer thankyou for agreeing that the logic that defies physic cannot be contained by scientists

  • @AnitoPictures I think science is admirable in many ways but it always seems to fall into the trap of assuming that it knows more than it does! My own BELIEF is that we are all part of a conscious, field of energy which is essentially made of 'thoughtstuff'. This includes the whole known universe and more. It is my experience that sometimes we can successfully put a thought into the field and see a result. This can be especially effective in our own localized field....

  • @cosmicjazzer Your theory had a loose compatability with the "Philip Experiment" where they created their own ghost. Which I presume is exactly similar to how kids make their "imaginary friends", though, I suppose that kids still have a good latch with the spirit world to be able to handle the presence as harmless. More info if you google search for "10 bizarre afterlife experiments" theres also some interesting infos for: "7 weirdest human enigmas"

  • I love how you can hear people barfing. Blllaaaaggggghhh!!! :D

  • One characteristics of Physic Surgery that makes me believe is how come it occurs only in the Philippines and in Brazil wherein if you dig a tunnel in Brazil, you will end up in the Phils? Its like Brazil has the Yin energy while Phiks has the Yang or vise versa

  • I believe in Physic surgery and i also believe that more quakery are available that real physic surgeons

  • I've not read many of the other comments, but if ANYONE believes for one second this is a genuine act of surgery, please do some RESEARCH! Randi consistently exposes quackery and pseudosceince for the fraud that it is. In this video he simply shows that 'psychic surgery' or whatever you want to call it, can be performed by ANYBODY who has practiced slight-of-hand with a plastic thumb-piece. It's the same trick used by magicians the world over. There is no incision, no surgery and no miricle..

  • Want to learn real spiritual knowledge? Is your quest for truth beginning to feel like running around in circles?mind over matter, true psychic powers, it is a reality.Sleep no more, THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM

  • is this real ?

  • @DemirW yr mom is real

  • 23 psychic surgeons hate this video

  • It is true there are many fake psychic surgery out there.

But only few are genuine psychic surgeon.

  • @propinoy2010 fuck off. SCIENCE...dont argue against it

  • @propinoy2010

    Right !

    Watch this real Video:

Teil 3 Dr. Fritz - Der Chirurg aus dem Jenseits (1984) 2v3

  • like a mediation

  • Comment removed

  • @abbazin102 - Water fluoridation is a naturally occurring phenomenon. Besides, don't you drink the same water the rest of us do?

  • @ChurchOfArceus Hell naw I drink that puree and people have been caught dumping floride in our water supply for a long time thats the way to do it covert and in the open. Your rite though humans our natural so it is naturally occuring lol

  • @abbazin102 what does the pineal gland have to do with being psychic. if anything the pineal gland explains that certain mystic states are explained within the realm of science and are not paranormal or supernatural.

haha ur using evidence that disproves you

  • @jlopez9090 You don't even know how the pineal gland works *yawns* or even your heart, but ima go get some ice cream... piecez22

  • Thank you for sharing the truth with us for all these years Randi...

  • pretty fascinating. I love when people expose fakes like this. I believe in some "crazy' things like psychics and energy manipulation but I get so pissed when people blindly defend the obvious fakes. It makes us all look bad, belief is one thing but believing everything without being a little skeptical is how cults are formed. Yeah sure, it starts with peace and love, next thing you know your breaking into celebrities houses because they refused to sign a record deal with your "god.

    it happens..

  • Hello !

I am from Germany, so please excuse my English.

Well, i have a nice Video for you:

"Teil 3 Dr. Fritz - Der Chirurg aus dem Jenseits (1984) 2v3"

The Language is German, but... it doesn`t matter.

    See and believe !

  • @ksdtzfir

He uses a knife to make the initial incision, prods around in there with his finger then uses the exact same slight of hand tricks in this video to pull various small pieces of tissue. At the end of it the wound still there and he applies a huge bandage. Whats unbelievable about it?

  • @TheAnonOutis

Listen, ..i know, the world is full of quackery, but THIS Video: "Teil 3 Dr. Fritz - Der Chirurg aus dem Jenseits (1984) 2v3", is REAL !

...So, once again: see and believe !

  • @ksdtzfir

I did watch the video, I in fact watched it very closely. I saw nothing in it to change my view, and in fact explained exactly what I thought of it already. Admittedly I don't speak German so I don't know what there claiming to do in the video but it appeared to be a psychic surgery except with the use of an actual incision to increase the realism. You will note he used a knife to perform the incision and unlike most Psychic surgery the site did not magically heal after he was done.

  • @TheAnonOutis

Did you see the people behind him, in the Video: "Dr. Fritz" ?

There are some physician and surgeons.

    Sorry for my English.

  • @ksdtzfir Sure, they're real physicians and surgeons. And I'm the pope.

  • @Kerberoz01

    Amen

  • lol love his two finger typing

  • at 1:09 you can hear some people blowing chunks already

  • why dont you investigate John of God as well?

  • I know this is fake but it's so GROSS. Eurgh.

  • You need a fatty for this trick or it works with a flat strong abdomen too ?

  • Yeah, but I'm ticklish. :D

  • Ignorance equals stupidity. Yes hi is funny fool. Check Smithsonian NASA QUANTUM PHYSIC SURGERY. Watch DR.FRITZ on you tube. I guarantee you will not laugh.

  • is it kinda like a magic trick?

  • damn it...and im paying so much for health insurance....

  • WOW that doesn't come out..... What a hammm.. hahaha!

  • Maybe it creates the belief of a cure. AND anyway, dead people can't sue.

  • lol :D

  • My hat goes off to James Randi. He is a true warrior against quackery.

  • @junkietomato Mine either. Love this guy. Uri Geller just makes me sick; so does Chris Angel

  • awesome

  • wonderfull :D

  • lol james randi is awesome

  • Guys a beast!

  • Excellent showmanship indeed. Nice debunking.

  • Haha i love that he creates some humour out of it too

  • We should ALL be so grateful to have Mr. Randi to expose these charlaton's! so many people are gullible and stupid and will believe anything and everything they are told. Thank You Mr. Randi. Hold the real truth high, No matter how hard it is for some people to accept.

  • The man is brilliant...I say brilliant because I can not spell genius.

  • wow, what a showman! :) <3

  • man hes a fast one hand typer!

  • lol u mean 1 finger

  • damn u really believe this shit go in our country youll see more of that stuff here

  • is he hunting and pecking?

  • Truly fake

  • lol that doesnt come out

  • James Randi is a GREAT entertainer, a GREAT magician, a GREAT thinker of our a time, and a GREAT contributor to the intellectual progress of mankind. Today he is about 80 years old and I hope he is with us for at least another 20 years because there are few people like him. Despite being so intelligent and having spent many decades studying this psychic phenomena he has a great sense of humor and at times he just come across as such a friendly & kind person that it'll be a sad day when he's gone

  • Screw you andyrooney, I hope he's with us FOREVER! Another twenty years ain't near enough.

  • I was thinking the exact same thing today. As weird/pathetic as this will sound, my grandmother just died, and I'm of course sad. So, not even a week later, I decided to email Randi to wish him well. It will be terrible when he's gone...Penn & Teller are great, as are Phil Plaitt, etc...but there is only one "Amazing" James Randi.

  • well said

  • I can hardly watch this.... It's looks scary.... Even though I know that it is fake....

  • Where is the cutting of surgery?

In many spiritual surgery the cut is shown, often cuts deep

  • genious!

  • No. It's spelled "genius". :)

  • I love James Randi. A great man.

  • My all time favorite Randi clip, perfect dry wit.

  • They try to pull this shit off in Australia now lol.

  • because it works better with bigger guys....

  • I have to learn how to this trick, great video.

  • lol i seen this its fake i knwo how they do this

  • omg at the new uri geller show here in the netherlands this guy was doing the same act and IU was like THATS SO FAKE cuz I saw this videoo earlier ^ Thankyou james randi!

  • Lol.. I saw that too.. But it scared the Hell outta me, cuz I didn't know the trick.

  • haha lolz!

  • no really.. Made me dizzy.. Looked REALLY nasty xD

  • yeah I would be too if i wouldnt know it was fake but I was actually laughing at him that he chose such a fake act xD

  • yup.. and that comment from Uri Geller! xD xD xD He said he saw that ones too, and said it was really difficult xD

  • uhuh! but I think that the guests were a bik fake too I mean that girl didnt even look at her stomach when she sat down with the others I mean if it wud happen to me I would freak out and see where he did that!

  • well.. you know; It's not nessesary the guests were fake. Cuz this method is used to cheat people. So it's possible she didn't know anything about it.

And everybody reacts at different ways after something like that ;)

  • yeah thats true xD but some of them are sometimes too relaxed

  • And yes; She did look at her stomach xD.. Even Patty Brard wanted to look =P But I would taste that blood if it's real, but could be animalblood..

  • Hmm i didnt notice that xD

  • search for "Pusat Rawatan Keraton", you can find it hard to do it like these... see it yourself..

  • Faeden:

    get a life!

  • GROSS SICK MAN!

  • Ha ha... "Ooops, wrong part!"

  • hey i know how to do this its actually pretty easy magic trick :)

  • dude james randi IS A GUY WHO SHOW U ABOUT FAKE THINGS !!!

  • its actually so fucking weird and gross, its a fraud

  • Google badpsychicsgarymannion to learn more about the lies and evasions of the young English "psychic surgeon Gary Mannion!

  • haha yup. its all just illusions. im in med. school and i saw that on a history of surgeroy vid. and my teacher was like yeah its bullshit. oh, and also, my biological bitch of a mom is a magican. those people are just a bunch of cons and manipulators. trust me! i lived with one of them.

  • hahaha.

even though it's fake it still grosses me out.

    bahhaah funny though!!

  • HAHAHA that was brillant.

  • Rofl

    'Oh that doesn't come out'

  • Obelisk. No, I wont do that either in the future. I get these comments whenever I suggest that The Toothfairy or The EasterBunny don't exist either, so I must find new examples, it seems. :)

  • But I apologize for my language there and my ridicule of believers. That isn't right of me, and I won't do it again. Science, scientific results from studies of these things is what one should use, and of course reason/common-sense, not ridiculing or name-calling. :)

  • A list of things that are bogus bullshit: Astrology, tarot, telepathy, faith-healing, homeopathy, aliens and flying saucers, ghosts, angels, gods, demons, witches, santa clauses, elves, fairies..prove that any of that works/exists, haha. It doesn't work, so you cant. In the universe we have the strong and the weak nuclear force, electro-magnetism and gravity. No "psychic force", "Sky-Daddy force", "healing santa claus ghost homeopathy"-force, no crap like that at all. Sorry.. :)

  • Hey dont crap on Santa he is my hero

  • jesus kicks santa's ass bro!

  • Not in my hood

  • cause anything that isn't proven beyond all shadow of a doubt automatically doesn't exist. Things appear in the universe as soon as we prove their existence.

  • there is a flying spaghetti monster though, you know how i can tell?

i was hungry and i ate some cup noodles, this is proof that he is god and only god, also you didn't include him in your list so he must be true

    lol

  • Oh, I wouldn't discount extraterrestrial life - the galaxy is too big for Earth to be the only inhabited planet, let alone the universe! (See the Drake Equation.)

But UFOs and little green men sticking things up farm workers in rural Nebraska? Yeah, that's not particularly credible XD

  • Don't diss the Force, or Luke Skywalker be gettin' medieval on yo' ass!

  • waldoman. Sorry, but there is nothing to explain. There are no "mysterious powers" out there that only you ignorant and superstitious people happen to know about, haha. You have the 1 million dollar challenge from The James Randi Foundation, but you can have 100 million from me if you ever prove any "psychic abilities"..haha! Of course I don't have the money, but we could first set up a legally binding contract so I'd have to get it somehow..haha, "Santa" or "psychics" will not suddently be true

  • I am a college student and have taken a couple psycology courses so I am well aware of the other explanations for what I have experianced. Ignorant doesn't describe me.

Close minded and hateful would seem to describe you though

  • Well, tell the media about your "supernatural powers" first, then.. And THEN you can let the James Randi Foundation show everybody that you don't have them after all.. Haha.

But anyway, other sceptics have other prizes, the Randi prize is just the most famous. I can look into that for you, see if I find some of the others. Anyway, you'll never win anything because the supernatural does not exist. :)

  • Why must you label it as supernatural?

I do believe in souls and perhaps some sort of god, but not magic or the like and I don't see this as supernatural in any way. Psychic power does not come from the soul but from the physical brain.

One day science will explain all this.

  • The terms, the condititions are quite simple, I think. You just need to prove a psychic ability or power or whatever in a controlled environment, in a genuine experiment. So that should be easy, no? If it had existed, I mean? :)

  • The foundation now requires a demonstrated media profile as well as the support from some member of the academic community before it will discuss the challenge with claimants. - Wikipedia

Just looked that up. It sort of disqualifies me.

  • Brian Dunning, the host of the Skeptoid podcast, announced on the podcast a while back that his podcast is considered a media presence by the JREF for the purposes of the challenge. If someone can demonstrate a supernatural ability on some basic level, he's willing to give them their media presence to help them move on to the next step of actually being tested. So no one with an actual demonstrable ability has to worry about not satisfying that criterion.

  • and what if this phenomenon was unpredictable? So what if I can't see the future at will? We can't make lightning strike at will either. Does that mean lightning doesn't exist? I understand if you're not convinced of something for which you see no proof. It's completely reasonably and I respect that, but don't act like I'm some deluded lunatic for believing in something that you don't.

I *can't* deny it. It happens to me every day.

  • When you feel lightning does your arm hair stand on end? That shit happens to everyone dude. Or is it just "Well hey it's rainy out there might be lightning! *Krackow* HOLY SHIT GUYS I'M PSYCIC." Or are you confusing lightning and thunder? You see the lightning and predict thunder? Get over yourself.

  • Um, I didn't and wouldn't call you names. You said you were probably disqualified and I replied to say how you aren't necessarily. I know nothing of your claimed ability (skeptical by default, but nothing personal) so I couldn't and didn't comment on that. But even uncontrolled clairvoyance (if that's your claim) could be tested against random guesses. No need to get defensive, reasonable skeptics like Dunning and Randi don't want to attack or "debunk" claims, just help test those who desire it.

  • I apologize. I had you confused with someone else. As for the the test thing, eh I might look into it one day.

  • I do dowsing myself(I witch for pipes), and I am a skeptic at monst, my answer is simple to those who do not believe it can be done, there is no instruction manual, my damn metal detector doesnt work right and we know how thats supposed to work.

But I also spent alot of time in the ring, I knocked alot of people out, but Icant do it at will or every time, does that mean that ability does not exist simply becouse its random?

  • Real abilities don't have to work every single time. Randi works with people to create tests where they only have to be more successful than someone guessing randomly. Most people are honest (frauds easily use their powers at will, whenever they're charging for it...), just honestly don't realize their results are identical to chance. Confirmation bias fools even the smartest and most honest among us, thus the need for carefully controlled scientific investigation, not just self-reported powers.

  • dude anytime you want to fly out here and put money on me finding pipes I would be more than happy to.

I close with this last word of thought. There is a segmant of the population, something like 40 percent that actually get stage fright when they have to piss for a drug screen, you dont think that being on a stage for the first time trying to "show" your abilities would have an effect? Of course it will, I have competed infront of people in various sports, its makes a huge difference.

  • lol i luv it wen hes like uh oh that doesnt come out! this is funny even though its fake lol

  • goddman i hate this shit...bunch of conmen...but the people feels better because of the placebo effect

  • hahhahahahha joka

  • haha you spelled fail wrong.

didnt criss angel do this too? i know its fake but im wondering where he kept the chicken parts i mean, when hes "disenfecting" the guys stomach you dont see anything and then he just goes for it. Talent.

  • given the quality of the video, its a little hard to tell, but the most likely place he got it from is when he puts the cottonball next to the bag with his left hand. There was most likely a chiken part and blood sac under the bag that he got extremely quickly. (Notice that you don't see the inside of his hand afterwards) or he could have had it in his hand from the very biggining. (You don't see the inside of the right hand) The large piece came from inside the rinsing bowl (the blood hides it)

  • Great video..lol..I saw this as a kid in the 70s..the "real" surgeires..what a crock.

  • HE FUCKING SAID IT WAS FAKE.

    You EPIC PHAIL.

    Die in a fire.

  • Haha, that was great...

  • I've seen this before, just a few weeks ago in my intro to pysc class, I had absolutley no idea how he did that, but apperently it wasn't real! "that doesn't come out" lol+

  • The million dollar challenge is still functional, fuckhead.

  • You sir, are an idiot.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhaahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaahahahahahhahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahhaahahahahahahahahahhahaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaha idiot.

  • No psychic is real, and James Randi would never endorse one.

  • there are countless fakes but psychics are real. I can't imagine deliberately predicting someone's future or performing surgery or any of the crazy nonsense you usually hear, but I have seen brief glimpses of the future on countless occasions and can sense the presence of other people.

  • too true, too true. In fact I'm psychic and I see...you...and...you're gay and like anime.

  • there is nothing wrong with liking anime. In japan adults watch it as much as kids. What's wrong is judging people for their interests. It's junior high style immaturity.

There is also nothing wrong with being gay, though I am not even slightly gay myself. I admit a lot of gays are weird but you can't judge them all by what you see on TV. Is anal sex gross? heck yeah, but if you think about it so is vaginal sex. Only seems different to you because of hormones.

  • waldoman. Of course you are aware that The James Randi Foundation will pay anyone 1 million dollars who can prove the existence of "psychic abilities" of any kind? One million for any evidence, too bad it's all nothing but fantasies of you believers', this "psychic" business? A million would be kinda' OK, no? Haha.

  • My abilities are no fantasy. I had no desire for them and in many ways they are a curse, but they exist regardless. I'm certainly a skeptic by nature and if I didn't have psychic ability I'd probably never believe in it.

I had no idea about the million. It's certainly interesting. It would be difficult to clearly prove psychic ability in a controlled environment, but not impossible. The problem is that I can't make it work on demand. Guess they could keep cameras on me during a storm.

  • Sometimes I sense the lightning a few seconds before it happens.

The other problem would be that they decide what's proof and what's not. The lightning thing could be explained by something other than psychic ability after all. Maybe I'm somehow sensitive to the electricity in my environment and not actually predicting the future. If the lightning was the only psychic thing I did then I would probably not think it psychic ability.

  • Wow. what an amazing ability, being able to tell when lightning is about to strike. Other people can do that, they are called weathermen/women. Funny how you don't claim psychic abilities for anything that can be properly tested, like predicting what card somebody is holding face back to you.

  • lol

  • "Wow, that doesn't come out." lol

  • it`s funny, but i don`t believe uri geller

  • it's really sad because it take like all of peoples money and there hope. such as if a man got psychic surgery and he paied like $40,000 and he thought his cancer was gone he would be happy and think he is going to live but then months later he dies. =(

  • and then his family sues for millions?

not that I know anything about the subject

  • omg gross!

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!

the ending was so funny hahaha.

  • Does everyone watching this actually realize that this is a trick? Randi is demonstrating how the "surgeons" are not operating at all. He is using some hand tricks, a palmed capsul of stage blood and some other effects. it's all simple slide of hand. THATS THE POINT!

  • well no s*** sherlock. People do this to scam people of thousands of dollars everyday.

  • How did you open somebody's body without using knives, just your hands.

  • Unless you are being ironic: It's just a small capsule of animal blood in one of his hands, some chicken intestines and maybe a chicken bone that he cracks.

If you practice at home on a table or something you get quite good at this fairly fast.

  • lol!

  • HAHAHAH!! AWESOME!!! James Randi RULES!!

  • bune be iğrennççç midem kalktııı böhhhh
