  • best band ever.

  • show Pan Am brought me here :)

  • A very crazed, frantic cover of a Little Richard tune... kick ass.

  • This is what the three little pigs sang to the big bad wolf.

  • my god what kinda geek ,this guy is ..beoth77..if you were rockn to this song having a beer like i am,just chillin out,and then listen to somone like beroth77 very inferior, messy sound is really novative, wtf,go wright for geek week

  • Hell, that's a SEX-a-phone playing there. HOT!!!

  • it's pretty, fast ...energetic rock'n'roll ,except for the speed ...the rest of the version has nothing diferent... very inferior vocals only and sax not so good as the Little Richard's version. But this speed and messy sound is really inovative.

  • Best Sixties-Punk ever!!!!! Amazing sound and soul!

  • Sonics,first to redline

  • I just remembered what rock and roll is

  • whoever that is he plays a mean fuckign sax!!

  • @bobyoung53 yup, the Sonics managed to pull of the impossible

  • The first song I heard by the Sonics was Strychnine, and I was VERY impressed...and I kept wondering what it reminded me of. I decided it sounded like a deranged Little Richard song...on steroids. I wondered if the Sonics had been influenced by him, and I guess that's a big YES.

P.S. Thanx to RHINO for the 'Nuggets' 4-CD box set. Primer in early punk.

  • @bobyoung53 Quite agree. This is faster, dirtier, simply the pure esscence f rock n roll !!!

  • metal hardcore everywhere

  • You Gotta Hear Little Richards Specialty Verson.....Your Drinkin Gin and You Cant Come In....Fantastic. alternate by him on Specialty.

  • This was the b-side of their 1964 hit single, "The Witch", that was rereleased in 1966. Best 60's band from the Seattle area.

  • Was this song in the movie called Christine ??? Quality .

  • @TheOrriblecunt

Aha With the red car? Yeah it was!lol I think it was Little Richards one...Though I can't really remember.

  • This band isn't bad at all. I discovered them from an LCD Soundsystem song. This is the best Little Richard cover I've ever heard so far. Pretty cool!

  • @LadyofWar1980 ahaha same, 'Losing My Edge' right?

  • @BlackVirusxz Hell yeah! "Losing My Edge" is my shit! :-D

  • not a bad saxaphone

  • yeah,,,hey good stuff,,,love from spain.

  • Fuck, yhis baby is wilder and faster than any tune outta the whole Sixties. Love the vocals, tryin' to copy the natural wildness of Li'l Richie. Result? A SCORCHER!

  • u mean 50's ?

  • saw the sonics live dec 7th in paris 2009 just brilliant best rock band around keep rocking sonics and buck ormsby producer j vincent edwards

  • I kinda like the original better <:

    its from Little Richard!

  • hi rip offs from the lowdowns sf

  • wow, what a gem

  • produced by my old mate buck ormsby the gentle man of rock

    this is so good jve

  • Wild wild wild!

  • För helvete ,de här måste vara världens bästa band,.sånt lävla ös redan på 60- talet. ingenting kan slå det här.

  • Äkta garagerock från 60 talet.

  • Punk Rock was invented in Tacoma WA! Listen close, here's the proof!

  • garage not dead

  • awesome and brilliant, so surprisingly ahead of their time! also love strychnine and do you love me, absolutely mind-blowing, it's a pity people don't now of this band

  • Roppi, you rule for posting this stuff!

  • Does RnR get any better...? Musta been sooooo much fun playing in this band...

  • Yeha LR did it - and Jenny Jenny and maybe other Sonics stuff. I love both versions, the Sonics one is slightly punkier but I don't think you can beat the original LR vocals on this track.

  • The Cheech did this one too :D

Love the sonics, thanks for sharing!

  • Didn't Little Richard do this song first?

  • Rock 'n' Roll, baby!!!

  • This band is one the greatest ever. I have all their albums and this song is one my favorites. It even makes my throat hurt listening to it. These guys are loud, very loud and great.

  • oh yes.

  • This band played everything in the red.

  • this is the best rock an roll record ever. sounds like a buck ormsby production. even the great little richard must have danced to this version who and i am going to there gig in london on 21st march 2008 wow j vince edwards lead singer of the answers just a fear

  • I really love this band, its a damn shame bands dont play like this anymore...

  • nice that younger groups are keeping alive little richard and others. that poor lead singer has trouble screaming those high notes like richard did. he's hard to top.

  • Younger groups????? This version was recorded back in around 1964! Still sounds great today though.

  • my mistake orde02. i didn't know they were a group from the 60s.

  • Jerry Roslie eats Little Richards for breakfast and shits even smaller ones. The guy's awesome.

  • No one could eat Little Richard, but yeah, he's awesome!

  • He's delicious
