At the Californication era he used the ds-2, WH-10 original, Ce-1, Mxr phase 90 and boss fuzz I think fz-5 or fz-1?

I'm using DS 1 and it's still cool. First I plug my guitar in to DS-1 and then to WH10 ( just like John Frusciante). This wah wah pedal doesn't need so much gain from DS. I set up it in that way :

Tone 10 o' clock

Level max

Distortion 10 o' clock

and WH 10 depth knob about 11 o' clock

@mikolene97 of course... wah is one of the most changing effect depending on the position on the signal chain... frusciante gets his great wah tone by putting his fuzz and dist before the wah, so the wah has to filter a distorted signal, while a classical kirk hammet wah sound is the other way around, wah before dist, so you are distorting a filtered signal... the same happenes with nearly any other pedal...
